Eeeeeeeeew that’s nasty.

Hope he’s okay as with diabetes that can be even more dangerous for his health.

How on earth did a rat get inside the place they were staying in as well...? ??

Wow, I never knew that he had to take insulin 7 times a day.

Curiosity got me about how many other athletes have diabetes and I got this clearly American link.

I was surprised to see Joe Frazier in the list but cracked up when I got to Mabbs.

He has type 1 diabetes and has had it from his teens. He has damage to the nerves of his feet and so can't feel pain, which means that he can have his foot nibbled by a rat and not feel it.
The likes of Frazier would have had type 2 diabetes due to the weight he gained after retirement. Steve Redgrave has type 1 diabetes.

I am surprised by that. I'd have thought he would have a pump like Teresa May.

Theresa's pump isn't for her diabetes, that's just what they tell you. It's actually feeding her the vaporized essence of dead poor people and it saves her having to wear the face mask, like the other Sith.

Boris is also a Sith. Hang on, something wrong with the predictive text: the "h" should be earlier.

Boris is an empty, second hand pyjama case of a human being. He's half Gamorrean, half Gungan and as I type it that makes so much sense!

How don't you wake up if something is munching on your foot?
Because you can't feel it. He has nerve damage to his feet due to diabetes, which means you could stick a nail in his foot or boiling water on it and he wouldn't feel anything.

I have to get my feet check annually as part of my diabetes 'mot' with a kind of tuning fork and fluffy brush and needles, checking them myself regularly also. I'm "only" type 2.

The poor guy also has no feeling in one cheek, but that's due to that clash with John Fashanu, not diabetes. Plus the foot with no feeling doesn't sweat, due to nerve damage in his back.

It will be both feet that are affected by diabetes nerve damage.
