Can anyone make sense of what the Bordeaux President and Manager are saying? Are they saying they're willing to let him go or not?

I'm not sure he's improved. He was at Barcelona before he joined them.

I know. That was my point. He earned a move to Barcelona, obviously didn't cut it there, so stepped down to Arsenal. Now he gets to step back up, having proved that he really is a big time player.

He’s basically saying unless someone pays ridiculously over the odds he’s not going. So that will exclude us.

Also, not sure if this question has been asked: would his potential incoming mean the end for Lamela? Pretty similar players in terms of style it seems. I really like Lamela so wouldn't like to see him go.

We only have son and lamela as natural wingers so signing another wide player will not mean the end for lamela

I definitely think we need another attacker. We only effectively have 4 players that fit behind Harry when we play 3. Definitely need another.

Lol I really don’t get why people keep mentioning Pulsic on this site. When he eventually leaves Dortmund he will go to an elite. Dortmund have no need to sell and Pulsic has no reason to leave considering he is at one of the best clubs in the world for developing young players

Bit of a negative attitude if you ask me. Plus I believe Herc previously had some ITK that linked us with him so I would argue that his availability is perfectly up for discussion and I believe Spurs are an attractive prospect to any player, it's up to you if you don't.

I'd also argue that Dortmund have always been something of a selling club when it comes to their best players and maybe Pulisic would want to try his hand in the premier league, maybe not, we don't know but why not discuss it. That's the point of a forum isn't it?

Your clearly speaking out of your depth if you think njie and nkoudou were anywhere near as good as malcom. All the stats show he's been one of the best in ligue 1 whereas that was never the case with nkoudou and njie.If I remember correctly there weren't even proper videos of njie and nkoudou on youtube.

You're*

Clearly speaking out of my depth? How do you know what level of knowledge I have of Ligue 1? Are you seriously trying to say that the more youtube compilations there are, the better the player is? That would be a really odd thing to come out with.

For the record:

N'Jie in last season at Lyon: 37 apps - 7 goals - 8 assists
GKN in last season at Marseille: 28 apps - 5 goals - 3 assists
Malcom last season at Bordeaux: 37 apps - 7 goals - 5 assists

Granted, this season he's equalled his tally from last season after 19 games so he's improving but there's no guarantees either way and his production thus far has been on a par with N'Jie, in the same league so you'll forgive me if I don't agree with your position that I'm speaking out of my depth.

I also wasn't saying he was a poor player, I was merely pointing out that he's as much of a gamble as any other player coming from that league at that age. I don't think that's a bold statement by any stretch.

Sure, of course I'm biased but I still believe it to be true and come on, I'm pretty much in the minority on here considering how many of our fans still think we're some shit show club that has no pull whatsoever. Any time we ever get linked to any half decent player there's a rush of fans "LOLing" and saying "never gonna happen, we're just pathetic little Spurs, no chance".

In my view it's embarrassing that our fans behave this way.

Interesting.

None of those records are all that impressive, amazed we took a punt. Especially on gkn
Very tricky league to judge quality

Arsenal target faces disciplinary hearing
Now Arsenal have been linked with a move for Malcom, but he is in trouble with his current club Bordeaux.

The 20-year-old Brazilian forward been called to a disciplinary hearing for his part in a video posted on social media last night.

Malcom and two of his Brazilian team mates at Bordeaux - Cafu and Otavio - were filmed laughing and joking outside the stadium following a 2-0 home defeat.

In a statement the club called it "lack of solidarity, maturity and respect."

Sounds like he’s fit right in there :D.

He LAUGHED on a video?! He should be sacked, fined and possibly beaten to within an inch of his life.
Yes, we also have a clear policy of never signing players who appear in dodgy social media videos...

What people don't seem to understand, is that "Ha! ha! ha!" is Brazilian for: "I'm really sad we fell to a 2-0 home defeat, and would like to apologise profusely to our fans and everyone associated with the club for my poor on-pitch performance. It's simply not good enough."
