Never heard of him before this transfer window so can’t really get too upset, although that probably says more about my knowledge of football outside of the premier league.

FFS....whenever you start investing time in watching the player more closely and starting to believe he's a great fit, this happens. I think I may need to completely detach myself whenever we are linked with a player and just wait until they are unveiled before I do any of the above. I wonder if it's a stumbling block or if it means that the deal is dead?

You should bill Levy for time spent and your data allowance for the YouTube clips.

Well surely we would have known this ( or we certainly should have)?

And seeing as we are never able to weave our way through these deals we should concentrate out efforts elsewhere.
I was just raising the point that in this case there are 4 parties that need to come to an agreement.

Its easier said than done, when we're the only league in the top European leagues that has outlawed 3rd party ownership, to rule out any possible transfer involving it probably severely limits the pool of players we're looking at.

Its where he's played the vast majority of his games for us, you must've missed that as well.

You're obviously not quite understanding this conversation about us signing forwards. If we were having a conversation about midfield players our manager then goes onto convert into a forward after we'd signed them, this would be spot on.

I'm happy to be corrected if when we signed Dele it was 'Spurs sign MK forward Dele All' but I'm pretty sure that wasn't the case.

It's true, but doesn't change the fact that we have spunked a lot of dough on Llorente, Janssen, Nkoudou, Njie with 0 return from any of them.

I was never keen on him after seeing the way he wore his cap on the plane. He looked a bit of a tit

I knew he wasn't trustworthy as soon as I saw his eyebrows in that picture. Probably wears purple underpants as well which is a dead giveaway.

Don’t forget Soldado.

We can debate the reasons, but I don’t see how anyone can argue that our record of attacking signings is anything but poor.

UK press running stories of 'Spurs think they can get Malcom cheap and steal a march on competition'. Maybe the other parties now disagree and want the big payday now?

I'm not disappointed, I know nothing of the guy so this doesn't really bother me.

Frustrated for poch and levy though.

Is the deal completely dead then?

The Brazilian press who broke the story reckon we were only ever going to get him for the summer anyway.

Indeed but none of those players will be leaving for free. They haven't contributed much in terms of on the pitch return but it won't be a lot in terms of money wasted(barring wages of course).

Maybe cheap to them is 30 + 10m bonuses, and Bordeaux have suddenly decided they want an extra 10m or everything up front.
