Sounds like he's trying to appease their fans and show a level of control. Didn't that Lyon chairman used to pull this shit with us all the time?

His contract is till 2021.

If i was bordeaux president i have more to gain by keeping than selling.

If i had to sell, then it better be an offer that i cant refuse, or unable to be matched if i refuse.

If its just a decent offer, why would i sell him now when i could flog his within these next 1.5yrs at the same price, while still playing for us at the same time?

Unless the player kicks up a fuss, then we have more leverage. But would we want a player like that?

They may get relegated, if so he may have a relegation clause that allows him to leave for a pittance. All hypothetical of course.

Then the more reason for bordeaux to keep him because thats their best chance to stay up. The offer that cant be refused gotta be even better now because if they let him go is straight up giving up.

Basically an offer big enough to tell bordeaux to give up their season. Cant imagine we be paying that

Tottenham always fail to deceive when these windows come along, so much promise, yet so many goal posts that have been moved. Given our record at transfers in recent window, I'm surprised we signed Sanchez, and never signed VVD as the alternative.

Any followers of Bordeaux or Ligue 1 able to tell me how likely they are of staying up?

From an bookmaker’s perspective they are currently paying £14-1 to be relegated. There are 9 teams in the market more likely to be relegated than Bordeaux.

Does not compute.
