I will be pissed off he goes on to become a superstar. We should have pushed the boat out when we had the chance

Which means we would have had him for a year or two and he would have left. Why disrupt what we have? There was a similar sentiment 2 summers ago about another mercurial talent, Sofiane Boufal. I wonder how he is doing nowadays? Or where he is plying his trade?

But he ended up Southampton, the fact that Barcelona have brought Malcolm suggests he is a bigger talent. In today’s market £36m doesn’t even seem much of a risk, especially when you consider Richarlison going for £50m

If he did well we would have made a big profit on a player for a change nothing wrong with that it's called good business don't see Monaco or Dortmund complaining

And if he was a cancerous PITA like reports suggest (clubhouse mutiny leading to mgr leaving and outstanding pro Toulalan retiring from team of ***ts) it would have been disastrous. If you actually watched him you would have seen he was not all that. He would have been dominated in the PL.

Is it just me, or does Malcom come out of this looking like a right duplicitous ****? I'm glad we didn't sign him, and it makes you wonder, when everyone complains about our transfer business, about what actually happens behind the scenes.

I mean would you rather go to Roma or Barcelona and play with the best of all time?

It will sure be awkward when they play each other on Tuesday.

This also likely fucked Barcelona over from ever dealing with Monchi. There also may be a stabbing or two if Barcelona ever travel to Roma in the UCL.

I think that's beside the point.

He, his agent, and Bordeaux had all agreed he would go to Roma. Bordeaux even forced Roma to announce it by announcing it themselves on Twitter when Roma didn't want to bc they're listed on the stock exchange. There's an interesting interview with Monchi on Roma's twitter which I would recommend everyone watch. Roma got right fucked over by Malcom, his people and Bordeaux.

And if he becomes a flop? Or no better than what we already have? Will you feel remorse? Will you be glad you don’t work for the club?

I mean if you got offered a job at one company and accepted it, you wouldn't go accept another way better job if they offered it 2 hours later?
