Tottenham Hotspur behind Inter Milan in race for Malcom

Inter Milan are in pole position to beat Tottenham Hotspur to the signature of Malcom, the Bordeaux winger who Arsenal tried to buy in January.
The Italian club have offered £8.8 million for an initial loan and the option to purchase him on a permanent deal for a further £26.5 million next summer. The Brazilian, 21, scored 12 and made seven league goals last season.

I personally really like the look of him but just not sure where he fits in with our current crop of attacking midfield options. Could be one that we regret in the future but you can't buy them all.

This feels like a rehash of news that has been circulating around France for a while and was claimed to have been declined. Curious if this is new reporting or just their writer catching up on that news and deciding to run with it.

It's a weird piece because after this it hops to Inter not being willing to pay for Dembele and then rambles on about Bissouma to Brighton and Bissouma's upbringing...

I agree. He looks a talent but for us to get him I think Lamela has to go.

Yep, think that's the only case. I really like Lamela but would be fine trading him for Malcom basically.

I've always felt that Poch rates Lamela.
He's always spoken very highly of him & seemed to epitomize what he wants from his players: skill, tenacity, character & a team first ethos.

Many here are willing to trade Lamela for Malcom. Is it a like for like? Or is Malcom an upgrade in every regard?

Think Malcom is a better finisher, probably equal dribblers with Malcom being quicker however, and Lamela probably being the better creator. You'd be betting big time on Malcom growing and reaching his potential which is world class.

If we actually genuinely want the player, we could surely offer them a better deal than that.

Anytime I’ve seen him I haven’t really been impressed. His decision making was often terrible and he seemed to lose the ball over and over.

From the little I have seen of his games, I’d much rather keep Lamela.

@Keefo Do you dislike my opinion because you disagree with it?

Shhhh you're only allowed to comment based on the exciting YouTube clips of him beating a whole squad and back healing it in. People don't like it when someone actually has an opinion from watching players in real games.

I’m actually really disappointed; no one has made a Malcom in the Middle for days. I don’t come here and put my family on ignore for nothing. Losing our edge, people
