Mallorca in advanced talks to sign Bryan Gil

According to a report from Diario De Cadiz, La Liga club RCD Mallorca are now engaged in advanced negotiations with Tottenham regarding a January move for 21-year-old winger Bryan Gil.

The player was also linked with several other La Liga clubs, including Real Sociedad, recently. Gil has struggled to hold down a starting berth since joining Tottenham and was loaned out to Valencia last term.

I can't see Mallorca coughing up enough to tempt us for a permanent move. A loan seems far more realistic, but then another half season in Spain isn't going to do anything to help prepare him for the physicality of the PL. PL, Championship or perhaps Scottish PL seem the most logical loan destinations, unless we've completely given up on him.
