He's a better defender than many on here seem to think but maybe better suited to a deep defending side.

Not good enough on the ball to play in the three at the back. As others have said a better signing for West Brom, Palace, etc that defend deep and have to make last ditch blocks. Not a shit defender but not a top 4 player.

He is not a bad player. Not sure whether he is not a top4 player. But he does not fit our requirement of cb

It's strange as he was pretty decent for Liverpool at start of season before last I believe and the were solid with him in their defence but then things seem to have gone downhill for him.

Maybe a case of attitude rather than lack of ability?

I think he's left footed as well but he looks like he'd bring baggage plus a bit inconsistent.
