That's the right team with the available, except lamela for Alli who I feel will concede too much possession with his party tricks and falling over

The only reason I understand Dele over Lamela is that his not fit enough Lamela especially when poch said after the Brighton game that he was exhausted

I cannot believe the Alli bashing. A player for the big occasion. Fancy him to score today.
Apprehension about him losig the ball - as he has done consistently throughout this season - is normal when playing a team like City who will bum fuck you if you hand them the ball all day.

our only hope is that City are a bit complacent after beating Utd and being so far ahead, but I doubt Pep will let them

It's sickening isn't it. He hasn't been on top form but he always gets stuck in and we all know what he can do. He does concede possession occasionally but that's because he tries to beat his man and there aren't many in our squad who do so its a pretty valuable trait and one of the reasons he gets so many assists.

I like Rose starting over Davies. Would have started Aurier as well but oh well.

Yay for 3 defenders on the bench again!

What’s the deal with Silva out? Surely not rested, that’s gotta be a big fillip for the guys going out there.

Doesn't make it the right decision though
I thought Rose might start when Davies was brought on for a few minutes against Brighton and so breaking the rotation.
It wasn't Rose's turn to play today and he should not be getting the choice games until he commits to the club. He isn't prepared to sit on the bench and would have mouthed off to the press if he had missed out.
Short term this is the right decision as Rose is playing well, but MP is storing up trouble for himself.
