How is City our close competitor? What is it now? 14pts. And we're only a third of the season in. Our close competitor at the moment is Watford TBH.
No I was referring to Utd & just saying it’s bad enough we strengthened City ... we shouldn’t now strengthen Utd

They weren't 14 points clear when we sold Walker to them though, were they?

They had just finished their second season in a row of finishing behind us.

Never gonna happen. This actually is a pretty fair deal. It's nothing like the Campbell Berba deal. For one thing Shaw would be permament, has experience and can still be moulded into a top LB.

I agree it would be a long shot but Rose is already a top left back and we don't need the money.. So why let them have Rose just so we can work on Shaw, dosnt make any sense.

Define "loads"?

From what i have seen he has had one ankle injury since returning from breaking his leg. I make that two, although to bolster your argument "loads" would suit you i guess?

If you against selling Rose then say so but don't make shit up.

Because it seems Rose doesn't want to be here. IF we were to do this deal, I'd say it's fair.

Do these deals where teams offer players and cash actually happen? It sounds totally made up to me.

Walker going to City may benefit them but hasn't been a major factor in them being fourteen points clear, indeed when we buy players for thirty million who can't kick a ball straight one could say we have weakened our side by the quality of some of the players we have brought in.

Well I jested the other day about an article in the Sun declaring that Shaw was now, along with Valencia the fittest player at UTD.

This was based on core strength/stamina.

Might be something Poch could work with, but didn't Poch himself also state something along the same lines as Jose regarding Shaw's application and fitness when his custodian at Southampton.

£50 million and Shaw a minimum for my two cents worth.

Absolutely agree!

Take this with a very large dose of salt.

One of our QS’s was at the WBA game, sharing a box with Rose’s agent. They’d had a few and, apparently, the agent told him that Rose to Utd was a “done deal” for January.

Of course I told him to fuck up, but he was adamant, even gave me 3:1 on a £50 bet that it was true. Whether Shaw is part of the deal he didn’t say, but he’s hugely confident it’s going to happen.

This is not ITK, but it sounds like it just may be on. Couple that with what Trix has alluded to and it seems that there’s a few flames to go with the smoke.

My concern is Rose's form on his return is not going to do his value any good - he has been awful and in my opinion is behind Davies in the pecking order.

Martial and Shaw's wages would be the concern if a money + player trade was negotiated. Both would be earning more than Kane, however I wouldn't want either at Spurs to be on more if either arrived.

I would negotiate as much as possible for Rose, and add a loan condition with an option to buy for Shaw in Jan, which then buys time to negotiate with Fulham to buy Sessegnon in the summer.

If Shaw works out we always then have two options to pursue.
