Play in the same style we did against Madrid and we should beat them.

You lot are cheerful today, last time i check we had a manager who was quite good at picking teams and doing the tactics stuff. Have a cup of tea, he probably put more thought into it than you.

I just wonder if Poch has left Sanchez out taking into account what Mourinho said about him during the Europa League final.. something about Utd targetting him as a weak link in that final..

Would have liked to see Sanchez/Dier in the back 3 to help deal with Lukaku's physicality but as ever, in poch we trust. At least the bench looks pretty solid

Can't quite work out if it's 433 or 343 with dier at the back
Seems to be Dier DM/CM. On Twitter he was named after Davies. I suspect we could switch between the two shapes during the game depending on what Mourinho does.

This is classic though.

Think back to transfer windows gone, the old lines of "its a long season", "we need competition for places", "a big squad allows flexibility and we can play in different ways" etc etc are oft-repeated.

After preaching this stuff all summer, some of these same folk then have a meltdown when a certain player is left out of a certain game instead of the same XI every single week

Am guessing Sanchez isn't playing because Dier's in midfield (...and will want to impress his BFF Jose)

Toby and Verts aren't a bad CB partnership

Bit surprised at no Fernando tho'
