Form (All Competitions) Manu LWLWL Spurs DWLWW

Manu have won 21 of their 26 home EPL games against us (D3,L2), winning each of the last four without conceding a goal. We have lost more away EPL matches at Old Trafford (21) than any team has lost away from home at a stadium in the competition's history. We have won just 9 points in the 26 trips away at Manu in the EPL (W2,D3,L21). Eight other EPL away teams have won more EPL points at OT than us, including WBA (12 points 12 visits) and Middlesbrough 13 points in 15 visits.

A team from London hasn't won away against Manu in the EPL since we won on New Year's Day 2014, since then London clubs have taken just 7 points from a possible 66 at OT (P22 W0 D7 L15). Manu's next EPL home defeat will be their 50th in the competition at OT. 31% (15) of their EPL home defeats have come since 2013-14, the 1st season without Sir Alex Ferguson in charge. Since taking over at Manu ahead of the 2016-17 EPL season, Jose Mourinho has guided his team to 153 points - 16 fewer than us, and 31 fewer than rivals Man City.

Harry Kane (18 goals) has scored 2 goals more than Romelu Lukaku (16) versus 'big six' opposition in the EPL, this despite playing 2008 minutes fewer and attempting 31 shots fewer than the Belgian in all games. David de Gea has conceded 10 goals from last 14 shots on target that he has faced for Spain and Manu combined since the start of the 2018 World Cup.

Pochettino has currently won 199 matches in all competitions as a manager (excl shootouts), with123 of these at home for Spurs. After winning his 1st seven managerial encounters with Poch in EPL competition between Sept 2010 and December 2014, Mourinho has only been successful twice in his last six EPL games with Poch (W2 D1 L3)

Well it often feels like the crowd is a 5th official up there and that's before one adds Fergie time into the equation. I think or rather I hope we whittle down those poor W/D/L stats starting today.

We simply have to take the game to them tonight. No sitting back at all. Our team needs to send a message out tonight...big time.

COYLW's

Going to be a long day waiting for this one, not a Bank Holiday here in ROI, land of the many gobshite United fans.

Hope our players are up for this. Whatever happens tonight I'll still be a Spurs fan for the rest of my life.

Huge game tonight for a multitude of different reasons.

We have to show up and be at it from the off. Be composed, be clinical and own our game management.

Will be delighted with a win but would happily accept a point right now (y)

Anyone thinking Utd will rollover tonight is deluded. This is Mourinho’s speciality; bouncing back when the pressure’s on.

I’d be happy with a point, delighted with all three, but we’re going to have to work so hard and really take the game to them if we want the win.

Have a bad feeling about this. United after a bad loss, probably resulting in an extra careful and defensive Mourinho approach where he will try and squeeze any life out of the game. Sometimes form and ability goes out the window here, these are the matches Mourinho normally gets a result from, albeit in ugly fashion.

Really hope I'm wrong. Also is it true that we haven't scored at OT under Pochettino?

It's all about mentality from our point of view. If we shrink we'll get beat again.

If we're confident and have the belief we can win.... we absolutely can.

Hard to play to football and not let some self doubt creep in though.

They're desperate, Mourihno will have a plan to win at all costs.

Need to keep them quiet first 20 minutes or it could be a long night.

We've been really insipid last two meetings up there, think we'll be better tonight.

I'm going 1-1 though.
