OptaJoe says it was Mourinho's biggest home defeat ever
Let’s not re-write history. They were the much better side for 30 mins and then were well in the game up until we scored our second. In fact even when we did they still were the attacking side. Yeah we played well but there were a number of bad performances in the first half. People keep saying Toby was fantastic, and yeah he was in the second half, but in the first half they bisected our CBS continually.
Amazing victory. Incredible ability by Kane to change the game. However it wasn’t a lesson where we played them off the park. The great thing is that we have played much better there in recent seasons and got nothing.
SonIts great to think we could potentially have 3 players that could hit 20pl goals this season....
Kane- pretty certain
Moura- you would class as highly likely
Alli- a bit more of a stretch but certainly can shoot for 15.
Yeah Lucas looks like the player we have been missing. Really hope that we learn to use him effectively and don’t put our selves in a situation where we play only to either his or Harry’s strengthsAgreed...but my quote about dreading this fixture for years and years shows I am in no way attempting to re-write history. I totally concur about the first half but we came through it unscathed...despite the Lukaku cock up.
I just thought that they became a spent force after a while and the manner in which Spurs picked them off was a sign of just how much the team has matured.
It's Moura who was the icing on the cake for me....let's hope he maintains such a performance level.
Watford Vs Spurs.....top of the table clash...who would have thought....? Bring it on....
Carragher on Spurs:
"But we said before the game that Liverpool were the closest team to Man City. Why aren't people talking about this Tottenham team who finished above Liverpool for seven or eight years on the bounce?
"This is a top team. The difference between them coming a great team is winning at places like this."
Poch out.@Leigh
Manchester United - the team we beat tonight - were above Arsenal in the Premier League table before they lost 3-0.
They are now below Arsenal due to an inferior goal difference. Hope that helps.
It's coming home Riggs, accept it.O dear. Some of you are getting a little carried away me thinks..
Yeah and I loved the fact that he thanked God. Legend
Woke up this morning at 5.30am, not sure if it was a dream last night that we won. Reality is delightful.
On the other side of the coin, talk of United sacking Maureen is also very pre-mature. They look like shite at the minute but they do have enough quality to go on a run or 2 and rack up some points and still finish in the top 4. If they lose against Burnley then I suspect Maureen & Woodward might have things to discuss but even then I'd be surprised if a change was made.
Time will tell.
Fun police, out.

I disagree. I think they should sack him now. It was madness to give him a new contract back in January as the signs were already there. He just brings negative energy and destroys clubs. He needs to buy the best, finished article players (as he cannot coach) and then shoe horns them into an ultra defensive, win at all costs style. Now he finally is trying to play attacking football for the first time in his career, mainly due to the pressure Guardiola's Man C side have brought to the city of Manchester he is getting found out. Man U had the best defence in the league under Mourinho, and he has spent £31M on Lindelof and Bailly for £30M. He has signed Pogba (£89M), Matic (£40M) and Fred (£52M). That's his CM and CBs right there in his favoured 4-2-3-1. Only now he says they are not good enough (all appear to have become worse players under him). Let's not get started about his mis-use of Mata, Martial and Rashford (I was very happy that none of those three played last night), or his failure to play to either realise Lukaku's weaknesses or play to his strengths (and then wonder why he has such a poor goal return). And let's not forget how much he spent on Sanchez - a player who would have been available on a free 5 months later. Would you trust Mourinho with another £100M? I wouldn't and it appears Woodward wouldn't either.
I thought Gary Neville lost a lot of credibility in his blind and stubborn defence of Mourinho last night. This was Mourinho's team getting spanked at home 3-0 by a rival. The week after shipping three goals at Brighton.
Mourinho can turn the results around. He can go back to playing turgid, defensive, win at all costs football and finish in the CL spots. But he will be a long, long way behind Man City, in terms of class, style and points. For a team that prides itself in being the biggest in the world it must be hard to get outclassed so badly by a team from just down the road.
