About 3000 yearsWhen was Jewish/Jew a race?
They can talk, their manager looks like a jew
One of the nastiest and most unnecessary posts ever on here. Someone lock the door behind him.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say he wasn't being completely serious.
I beleive the consensus in the jewish community is its one and the same. Biblical jews being their ancestorsOk.
Biblical jews or current jews?
At a Guess I’d say Arsenal and Chelsea have Just as many Jewish fans as we do.Bring brought up a North London Jew ,Id say the split between my Jewish friends was pretty even.

Very hot topic probably not the current forum to debate... It has be discussed however that Biblical Jew's look more like Moussa Sissoko /Anthony Joshua than say Daniel Levy / Benjamin Netanyahu
Anyway back to football hope we can beat Liverpool and set a real mark of intent
Or Jesus Christ....
When was Jewish/Jew a race?
I find it hard to accept that what is posted on page one is an apology, when they print the last paragraph. 'Spurs traditionally have a large Jewish following and sections of the club's supporters refers to themselves as "Yids" -- a negative way of describing a person of the Jewish faith. Again showing their ignorance, not knowing what Yid stands for.
Your point?
I suppose you also believe Jesus was blonde with blue eyes.
Are you being serious?
In fairness, that's completely accurate. Yid is a negative way of describing a Jewish person, we just use it in a sort of positive way, although even then it's pretty controversial even among our own fans.
I have always thought that YIDS was a shortened version of YIDDISH, which I believe is central european language.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say he wasn't being completely serious.
Bad taste joke. No previous. He gets a riggi pass.....this time.
Yeah @mil1lion is one of the more reasonable posters on this site, something tells me there was no malice behind that comment.
Originally Yid just meant Jew and so Yiddish is the language that Yids speak/spoke in central europe. But nowadays Yid is universally considered to be a derogatory term, the one exception being some Spurs fans. Much like how Negro used to just be what black people were called but now it's considered offensive.
Yes I'm aware that spurs fans say it in a non-derogatory way, and I say/sing it myself, but that doesn't change the fact that it's considered an offensive and derogatory word by everyone else, so what it said in that article is completely correct - Yid is a negative way to describe a Jewish person
I wasn't expecting such a reaction. I just made a silly joke because Zidane has a big nose. Is that considered so offensive? Sorry for any offense guys.
I should've said Benzema. His nose is massive
