The bottom line for me with Edwards is that if he'd stayed with us he'd be nowhere near the player he is now, and some players need to go out and get their hands dirty and learn their trade and mature out at smaller clubs. Ideally through loans etc. with us being the parent club, but by all accounts his attitude was not at the level where he would have succeeded with us. The fact Levy got a 50% sell-on included is fantastic for us. If we signed him now for £52M (actually £26M given the clause) would he be a good understudy for Kulusevski on the right?

I think yes he would definitely. He’s a very nifty creative player, every time he got the ball on Wednesday he was driving forward and making something happen, much like Kulu. Not to mention that ridiculous run he went on in the away fixture. To be honest I don’t think it’s a move we’d go for, nor would he want to come back to be a squad player, but I’d love to see him play for us in the first team

Easy to forget that someone like Carlos Vinicius have been more dominant in the Portugese leauge than Edwards have been so far. I'm sure he'll end up in the PL one day but more likely to be in the lower ends of the table.

If we'd have defended like actual proper defenders, and not all ran backwards for 30-40 yards as he ran towards our goal, effectively daring him to have a shot unchallenged, we wouldn't even be having any conversations about him.

And he showed he still has no class about him from his post-match comments, the little scrote.

What the fuck did he say that was wrong?

how many top players do we have?
I'd say that we've got a few.

Look, I like Edwards but he's still got a long way to go to prove that he's good enough for the Premier League, let alone us.
We need to he looking at proven quality and for me, he's not there yet.

It feels to me that the same people who clamour for Edwards everytime his name comes up, are the same ones clinging to the romanticism of Poch returning.
It's the fairytale of "unfinished business", which is usually a load of old bollocks.

I think he may well be at his peak.
nothing, people just like to dig him out because he doesn't talk like shakespeare.

yet it's probably the same fans that condemn those who mock harry kane for the way he speaks.
I say, wouldn't that be something eh?

"Twas just and righteousness that bought my self back to this den of iniquity, the very panorama of the arena, much different than when I was a mere jouster upon its fields, sent chills along my back and it awoke inside of me a memory of another time....a time of my youth when all was once well with me and the world.
My heart and soul was bolstered by the chance that was edged my way in the guise and shape of the football and once upon it I charged at the defence and the Frenchman that stood behind it, and when I realised my path was cleared and the goal so obvious in its own clarity... I cried at the opportunity that had been thrown upon me.
I took the shot and that Frenchman could not block nor parry and it found the spot that it was meant for.
A sweeter moment might await me along life's line but none sweeter than the one that has come and gone on this wonderful night.
I thank you and now take my leave."
