Juande you make obviously an excellent point about Berbs being very difficult to replace and we would have to spend well to do it.

Do you see any players in La Liga that could do it for us?

Ricardo Oliviera is on loan I believe at Zaragoza from Milan and seems to be doing very well, he also seems to have no future at Milan?

Luis Fabiano has obviously worked with Ramos at Sevilla and is having an excellent season.

Who knows even somebody like Aguero (i know i'm being a bit stupid) at Atletico but he could be the next big thing couldn't he? And he supposedly has a buy out clause which is in the area of Berbs value?

David Villa would love it but no chance, probably less than Aguero.

I know these are all pretty much different in style to Berbs but we can adjust our own style.

Who do you reckon we could get from La Liga to replace Berba if the worse happens?

Actually we have much much mroe chance with Villa than Aguero. Ageuero clause was 26mill, but has now been increased to 40mill so theres no chance.

Ricardo Oliviera is a absolute shitface, the man is a total joke and I hope he's nowere near our radar.

And yes Ramos's substitutions are boderline crazy but hey its working!

I really really hope Berba stays, but if he goes we have a real striker problem: Defoe and Keane do not seem to work as a pair; I'd be amazed if Defoe and Bent could play together; and Keane might be able to play with Bent, but we simply don't know.
Oh Keane can play with Bent, we just havn't had a chance to see it yet as we have the most prolific strikeforce in the league in Keane & Berbs. Also, why can't Defoe play with Bent? I fail to see the logic in this one...

The only strike combo which has been proven is a definete no-go is Keane & Defoe.

I do doubt whether Bent could partner Keane long-term. Bent has only ever successfully played with Kuqi, an orthodox target man, at Ipswich. At Charlton, he usually played as a lone striker, and his game is all about playing on the shoulder of the last defender and using his pace to get onto through balls. So, Keane would have to play as the linking striker, which is possible on the ground, but we all know Robbie won't win much in the air. In other words, Bent & Keano as a partnership may present the same problems as Defoe & Keane

Defoe and Bent is a non-starter in my book. Neither are much good at linking the play, so you're left with two out-and-out goal poachers. Not a match made in heaven.
