Great draw for them and us. They get the tv money and we get a very easy fixture and can rest the most of the starting 11.

From the article: "The chasm separating them from José Mourinho’s Tottenham is the biggest ever between two clubs in the third round."
I'm sure we've played lower status teams in the europa, this season alone.

Absolutely- just never the FA cup third round.

Nah come on, all of the sides we play in Europa are professional and towards the top of their respective national leagues (albeit much weaker than ours), with international footballers in their sides. The 8th tier is proper amateur football, nowhere near comparable.

As far as I can work out Marine are 235 places below us in the league structure.

Fair enough- we’re sauntering away from the main point anyway, which is that we’ve never played a team that far down in the FA cup third round.

Hojbjerg needs to keep an eye on this lad. Bags of pace and likes to shoot from distance.

With another covid lockdown approaching I wonder how likely it is this game will go ahead. PL games in their own bubbles are fine but matches like this must be a big risk. PL clubs could pay for their opponents to be tested I suppose?
