Surprised everyone laughing it off. Assume it's just a defence mechanism so that you don't get hurt.

But these are the types of players we should target now if Jan is in the bag.
Not average squad depth players. We've got plenty of those with Mason, Chadli etc
But a real worldy who will upgrade the first 11. We are a champions league team now! No more small time West ham thinking

It's not a case of us not wanting him. It's very unlikely he will come to a club like ours from Bayern. Love to be wrong

Actually think this signing is doable if we make him highest paid player at the club

He is lazy though...put on weight in 2 years. Doesn't train hard enough in the eyes of Guardiola. If he continues that streak he won't get any sympathy from Pochettino.

So question is , why would we take a such a risk on him , especially with his wages & fee.

Anyway , this is no go given our transfer policy...
There's two sides to every story though - he probably didn't deal well with losing the trust of his manager and not playing regularly.

Not everyone can be a Scott Parker and simply shine your boots twice as hard and pull your socks up nice and straight when you meet disappointment.

He's still a pup, and there's plenty time for him to grow up and make better life decisions.

I don't think the likes of Harry and Lloris will complain if a World Cup winner comes in to be a slightly higher earner than them.

The problem is when you sign someone out of a minor league on huge wages - the rest of the team will come knocking.

Maybe just one of those player not like manager things.
Would love for this to happen, maybe thats why we only wanted one striker because we would go big on him, and gave our prized asset another big raise 6 months from his last

Highly unrealistic? Yes. Impossible? Not a fucking chance. 1 year left on his deal and is at a great age. Would be that sort of player we have needed, who can beat a man or two, along with score goals, as he has experience playing as a second striker or the CF in a false 9.

Who would have called the VDV signing? Nobody. It was out of left field entirely from a situation very much like Gotze's. He won't get in that team ahead of Müller, and who knows, Renato Sanches could be their next big CAM, so I think there really is a shot at this.

With there only being 1 year on his deal too, the fee will be reduced, £20m-£22.5m which I still think is an outstanding fee for a talented player such as him. Bayern won't want to lose him for nothing, so they could cash in this summer.

Will probs end up at Dortmund as Mhkitaryian's replacement. But all I'm saying is don't rule it out...

Really couldn't see us having a clear run out of the Premier League clubs at Gotze, and if we've got competition we've got no chance.

Can't see it happening but I do struggle to think of how long the list can possibly be to give Eriksen competition on a good day (granted perhaps he hasn't re-found those consistently yet). Surely only playmakers like Gotze, Mata, Pjanic are realistically up there but then again maybe there's a Janssen type for Eriksen.

What was the timeline of the Son deal from when Bild first reported it to when we wrapped it up? Didn't that one kind of come on quickly?

If he signs for us, Chadli or Mason would likely go. As for the wages, we can pay a higher sign on fee and reduce his weekly wages on par with Eriksen.

I don't see financing an issue but weather he wants to come and join Poch army. As for attitude shit, this will come down to Poch man management and if he can cope with PL pressure. All in all, 50-50 chance so no need to get hopes high. If he signs, it will be funny given LFC cocky sure they get him. I rate him but his form now is lower than Eriksen... But certainly an upgrade to the squad.

He was heavily link at a point last yr to Juve, so might end up there if they use Morrata money. Let's just watch this soap opera unfold.... For me, the most important signing is a striker and CDM, this is a bonus if we get a AMC.
