So many translations, which is correct? @Lufti

Edit: Twitters translation is literally 'Complete bullshit. This transfer is not through.'

Literal translation is "Not through", it doesn't suggest that it's "nonsense", just that it isn't complete.

I can't help but feel that that beating by Dortmund in the Europa League, even if it was a weakened side, damaged the chances of enticing him here.

No need to get excited. Basically, Zorc says Bild article is a non-sense and the transfer is not done (yet).

The literal translation of Völliger Blödsinn is utter nonsense.
That's not the important bit. He's not saying that Gotze to Dortmund is utter nonsense, he saying the media reports that it's done is utter nonsense. The important bit is nicht durch which = not through.

Can't see how Gotze can be Pochettino type player. Not every German international is the answer. Fat Gotze is least of all.

Ran it through my state of the art translating machine and it categorically translates as 'he's off to Spurs, goodnight'

True story.

Edwards his a hot prospect but please don't make out he is likely to have as much of an impact this season as Gotze likely would.

Yes he could have an Alli season, but they are very rare.

If we can't get Gotze then we should try to get another quality AM instead of pining our hopes on a 17 year old. It's almost like thinking Lesniak would be better than Wanyama!

It was never on. We don't sign players on the kind of money that Gotze commands and with that kind of premium reputation. We try and sign those players before they get to that point.

I really doubt Dortmund will be paying him more than what we could afford.

Normally I would completely agree with you scat, but on this I don't think Gotze's out of the realm of financial do-ability if all we've heard is true. His fee's well within our remit and his salary, if as reported, would stretch our upper limit by about 20k, but that's not astronomical and the kids only 24, so fits the age remit perfectly, with bags of potential to still make some serious money on him in 2-3 years, yet he has played and performed for two great clubs (one uber club), two great managers (one of the best ever) both with big work ethic.

If there are others sniffing who would be offering him 140pw + then I agree, it's non viable for us. But at the moment we are not hearing that kind of club in the sniff.

Maybe he has decided to run down his contract.... after all he can leave for the PL (or any overseas league) on a Bosman in Jan?

That would p1ss off Bayern.... And get him a huge signing on fee

But THAT might suit Levy!

This was my point earlier, will Bayern want to let him run down his contract? If not they'll accept a lower fee as the window goes on.
To be honest it doesn't make sense for anyone to sign him this early in the window and it doesn't make sense for him to sign for anyone yet either.

The way football is now, Bayern cannot just sell him.
Power is with the players totally nowadays.
Bayern can not play him but little else.
From Gotze's pov staying and signing a pre contract in January could be a better move.
Actually he may just command a small fee aka Holtby in January if he signs to a team outside of Germany .
Just some thoughts !

Possibly not as he could then ask for humongous wages instead. I guess that can be circumnavigated by a large signing on fee, but I think others would be able to match or beat our offer and by then we might not be playing CL football either ?
