How many AM's do they have now thiugh? Pretty sure they signed like 2 or 3 already this window and only sold Mkhtaryen(sp?)

Ousmane Dembele has looked unreal in preseason also. With Schurrle on his way also I could see them walking away if the deal didn't completely suit them.

There's still quite a lot of bad blood between Bayern and Dortmund. Bayern poached Lewandowski and Gotze, which pissed off Dortmund to no end. So much so that Dortmund ended up letting Lewandoswki go Bosman instead of selling him a year earlier to Bayern. If the Gotze deal collapses, I'd not be least surprised.

Kicker also reported that Dortmund offered 29m maximum for Schurrle to Wolfsburg and they will not go any higher. So, this deal is also stuck at the moment. It seems to me that Dortmund has 2 deals in progress and they will take whichever works out better for them. So, either Gotze or Schurrle, not both as media seems to make us believe.

They might sell for substantialy less to a foreign team a la Modric.
German teams typically do not strategize like that. It's why you see so many great German talents stay in house and go to other Bundesliga teams for what often looks like less than market value.

Lol and Levy will?

There is more chance of the pope converting to islam than there is Levy agreeing to pay either the fee, or wages, needed to get Gotze

Don't do this to yourself
€25m is about £21m. We paid just under £19m for Janssen. If we can make money via sales, im sure Levy wouldnt have a problem paying about £21 or £22m for a world class type player.

Sportsbild reported that Dortmund is interested in Jese from Madrid. They are still getting linked with all these offensive players, which can mean only one thing: Gotze negotiation is still in balance.

Almost certainly never gonna happen, but, IF, and it's a big IF, it did happen, I genuinely believe Gotze would be a big upgrade on Eriksen. There - I said it - come at me ;-)

Not sure why this thread is still going........we're not interested. He hasn't chosen Dortmund over us because we pulled out of the running. Don't get me wrong, he probably would've chosen Dortmund over us anyway but it's time to let this one go.

Last 3 seasons combined

Eriksen
Chances created 234
Goals 20
Average minutes per chance - 34.4
Average minutes per goal - 403
Minutes played (league) - 8061

Gotze
Chances created 86
Goals 18
Average minutes per chance - 58.4
Average minutes per goal - 279.1
Minutes played (league) - 5025

Of course there's more to it than that but he is not a big upgrade imo. He's not coming anyway so you're stuck with Eriksen.

No fat lady belting out "let it go" yet, so no reason to close the thread yet (even if I think he'll end up elsewhere).

Dortmund have denied that they have reached any form of agreement, either with club or player.

Our interest is another matter, but Götze to Dortmund is anything but done.
