Süddeutsche Zeitung: Dortmund have reached an agreement with #FCBayern regarding Mario Götze. #BVB will pay €23m.

Süddeutsche Zeitung: Announcement will be made this week. Götze's taken pay cut (€12m a year at #FCBayern, will earn €8m a year with #BVB).
so, that's £19m transfer fee and 100k/wk wage. That's affordable even within our range, especially if the wage is further lowered with sign-on bonus.

BTW, Süddeutsche Zeitung is a legitimate national newspaper, not a gossip tabloid.

Yeah, financials look doable for us. He probably rejected us for other reasons, then. Or we werent interested after all.

If Dortmund buys Schurrle, then they have Reus, Kagawa, Dembele, Pulisic, Mor, Blaszczykowski, Leitner, Schurrle. That's already 8 for 3 positions. They need to sell not buy more, probably Blaszczykowski and Leitner. Really no need for Gotze for them.

Or not.

Bullet dodged out indefinitely with a "metabolic disturbance"
What a random thing to be out with. The mind boggles with what this could be.

On a serious note, it could be quite a bad illness. Hope it's not.

His weight has fluctuated recently, this could be the reason why.

Cracking player, its a shame.

Surprised they didn't pick this up in his medical records? Appreciate it can come on suddenly but you think there would be some history? Let's hope he get's it resolved and is back playing soon.

Football can be a funny old game sometimes and shows what different circumstances can mean for different players.

He was an integral player for Dortmund in his first spell then makes the move to the leagues top club, which can be risky and in this instance hasn't worked out.

Then he returns to his previous club where was very successful but just doesn't seem to be able to find that spark again that made him so important for Dortmund previous/y.

Hopefully he gets better soon as doesn't sound very pleasant for him at the moment.

Despite Claude's obvious poor choice of club allegiance it seems like you could have a good football conversation with him if you met him in a pub.
