Looks slow. If we buy a striker he must have pace.
Didn't look slow to me in those clips.
Faster than Janssen.

You must be blind. He is not slow.
He is not quick. Seen him enough to know. We have Kane (Best in the world), Janssen. We need the next striker to offer Sturridge, Lukaku kind of pace. Utah has more than Janssen, but not the pace we need.
Those clips are literally from the same league in which Janssen scored 27 goals.and composed in front of goal.
Its got nothing to do with the price, the guys bang average. You don't have to spend £20, 30, 40 million to sign quality players. Dier? Alli? Eriksen? Alderweireld? Lloris? Rose?

SpursCommunity should be hanging its head in shame that the quoted post isn't drowning in Funny ratings.Markuth Rathford?
Thign him
Only have the clips here, but: long stride belies his top speed, good balance, good finishing, but limited agility and he is quite wiry for his height.
His reactions look good, but the question is do we have a position for him in the PL where either he can comfortably play off the shoulder (WF), or can he develop his physicality and be able to hold up the ball with strength and technical ability when the play is bottled.
We targeted a slower, shorter but stronger guy who had better distribution in Janssen and it's not looking great. We paid through the nose for him because he was scoring for fun, had international caps and was in his prime. I suspect Uth will be similar now that he's in the German leagues.
This is one to avoid. If we face facts, we need to go up a level in quality, and we rightly turn our noses up at most of the price tags in this age group in that bracket. We're just not going to be the ones who gets such a guy from the lower leagues too often any more because everything has become far more professional as clubs try to turn a profit on transfers. We're competing with lower bracket/league clubs who will offer more upfront salary and playing time for the associated risk.
So if we want to save while getting our hands on premium talent with moderate risk, the answer remains the same: youth. What differs is merely the markets in which we purchase.
We can manage early and medium-term expectations better with 16-17 year olds, provided we afford them quality training and education for on and off the field.
The problem is is that people are saying "He isn't good enough" etc... And people are struggling to realise, that finding a top quality striker in Europe willing to come to the club with limited guarantee of CL football is hard enough...throw into the mix a striker who is then content to more or less warm the bench for Kane is another, because let's face it, some champ isn't just gonna come in and hoist him from his spot, so really, it's a case of...
Find a striker of B- quality who will be good, and willing to sit on the bench, but do a job when asked e.g Janssen, Haller, Uth etc
Find a B+/A striker who can play a second position, ideally WF but it more than capable of leading the line on their own (I know Son is sort of here to do that, but his ability to lead a line on his own is questionable). For me, I think Lacazette, Embolo, or perhaps someone like Angel Correa at Athletico.
