Jose Mourinho will not fight to keep Anthony Martial at Manchester United against his wishes, but the forward will have to tell him that he wants to leave.

This has confused me from the start, if JM doesn't see him in his. plans and AM wants to leave what actually happens if AM hands in a Transfer request? Is it just that he forfeits a sum of money that he and his agent would get otherwise or does it knock on into whatever agreement MU have with Monaco and any new club takes on that financial burden.

How many millions is it worth sacrificing for the sake of your career and to be happy if you're AM?

I'm assuming it's fairly hefty numbers that the next potential wouldn't necessarily agree to compensate for? Or they may be okay compensating the player but the agent could be taking the piss?

Personally as much as I'd like him here I think it's always smelt of MU trying to get us to spend too long on it and "burn daylight" chasing something that isn't attainable. At the same time leave us in a position where we have to sell one of our best defenders abroad, on the cheap, at the last knockings.

We seem to get played a lot each window IMHO it's the one area we need to sharpen up in, realise when we're being fed a line and waste fewer resources on it.
As great as what DL has done (and I wouldn't want any other chairman, as it stands) Clubs have long memories and trying to be too cute with deals will bite us on the arse.

Any excuse to wheel this out :D

Sorry for the long post.

A trail of crumbs to distract us from any other targets IMO. They won't sell to us.

I very much doubt Jose has much say in what offers United accept or reject. He's the manager, not chairman.

I honestly don’t think Jose would give a fuck where he goes, he is an arrogant prick. Woodward however knows the United fans would be livid, even if it meant they got Toby. Problem for United it where else would Martial go?

Has there ever been a Manu player who has forced a move to spurs??? Now i don't wish to blow smoke up their arses but that would be quite the historic achievement if it happened...

Bosman ruling came in in 95 before that players couldn't force moves as such. So no.

Such a nonsense headline. If Kane wanted to leave, we wouldn't force him to stay against his will. The only thing of note from this article is that Martial would need to tell Maureen he wants to go. Aka hand in a transfer request and forgo a metric fuckton of money.

He won't be coming to us, only a little over two weeks left.

Mate I like U but u seem to have a jizzathon at the prospect of us failing, you would scrap years of progress for a self righteous “I told you so”.... why? It’s a serious question.

What are you talking about Donki? How does what I said relate to me wanting to see us fail or being self righteous?

We have 16 days left, we all know that negotiations take a lot of time, Man Utd are playing silly buggers, want a ridiculous fee. I can't see the transfer happening for those reasons, can you?

Good player
but not worth the hassle or the price.
Jose can play silly buggers all on his own.

Why would we care? He's not in their first eleven and wouldn't be in ours either. If we sign someone let's not get someone to warm the bench, we still have Sissoko for that job.
