I think Huddlestone's lack of mobility is slightly exaggerated. He looked fairly spritely when I saw him today. He may not be the quickest player but he won't need to be if he works on his positioning. Plenty of top class players that lack pace still manage at the highest level and I think Tom can also.

The thought of Petrov and Lennon on both wings with Huddlestone pinging balls out to them is sexual. :hump:

Andrea Pirlo comes to mind.

Petrov will be deadly in a combo with a great midfield passer (Hudds?).

Someone to pass the ball 30 to 40 yeard behind the defenders. That's where Martin is deadly. He will be THE ONLY player in the PL that can run 100 meters under 11 seconds. That's a proven fact. He will be the fastest player in the PL.

Martin Petrov will today leave Atletico Madrid. Manchester City were last night the club better placed to sign the Bulgarian forward, who was about to enter his third season in Madrid. AS published the news yesterday: Atletico were looking to accept one of two offers from England to sell with the intention closing a deal for Simao and making an offer for Quaresma. The Bulgarian had wanted to make clear on Monday his desire to stay in Madrid, but a decision had already been taken that Petrov was surplus to requirement. The Bulgarian's agents were looking to conclude a deal with Manchester City for eight million euros; the amount spent by Atletico two seasons ago. The Bulgarian's poor performance against Gloria Bistrita in the Intertoto Cup on Saturday seems to have sealed his fate. The Atletico directors consider Simao a more talented player and one that would contribute more goals. Quaresma, the next player that Atletico will try to sign, also is very a well equipped player technically and is versatile. Martin Petrov, in spite being practically injured all of last season, has a good reputation in England. Manchester City is a Premiership club that is looking to push on this season to finish behind the four main English clubs. During the last campaign, City finished in fourteenth, a position that without a doubt it wants to improve on.

It doesn't say they will finish 5th. It says they will finish behind the top four!

I have a good feeling about this one. We will have a true left winger for the first time in donkey's. If this does go through i'd be happy if that was the end of our signings. I know we could use another quality CM but with the amount we have spent this season I wouldn't mind if we wait on this one.

Zokora could still live up to the player we all expect him to be and showed glimpses of last season. I also have a feeling that Jenas could be primed for a stella season and really be a driving force for spurs.

If we did bring in a quality CM I think we would almost definately make fourth. But even if we don't I still think we're a chance.
