One of the most underrated players in the premier league. Alderweireld, whilst also great, seems to get all the attention even though I feel Vertonghen is at least his equal.

I think verts has improved, Toby was amazing first season, but verts has improved and is now on the same level, I think his been outstanding this season prob our best defender, Ben Davis has had some great games as well.

Martinez is the very definition of a shit-eating grin. Pathetic manager, and it disturbs me that he has any input into the development of our Belgian contingent.

Incredible player! Toby was outstanding in his first season. Didn’t put a foot wrong and transformed us at the back. Supplied some fantastic balls forward as well. Verts has really upped his game since then and it could be argued is slightly above Toby now, he is playing with such confidence. Best centre back partnership I have seen at Spurs.
