I hope we go for Kovacic or Thiago if its true he wants out of Bayern. Would be a dream. But I guess he wants Barca now with Iniesta out.

His agent wants him to leave madrid and he only has a 50m release clause ....just saying

I think what you mean is his agent sees an opportunity to make some money for himself (the agent) and is encouraging therefore his client to leave/move. Who in their right mind would want to voluntarily leave Real Madrid ?

He's been at their bench for nearly 2 yrs and can't see him getting a starting role this season.A player of his caliber needs to be full time regular by now for any club he plays.

I'd be surprised if any of them are pushing to jump ship until they find out where they stand with the new head coach.

I agree but really doubt any coach would drop a mid of Modric/kroos/isco/Casemiro for kovacic..If we're being honest he would be a starter for Barcelona/juve/city.

Spanish radio Cadena Cope are reporting it (him wanting to leave). I believe they are one of the more reliable/professional sources in Spain. They do say Madrid have refused but we'll see. Obviously doesn't have any real bearing in respect of Spurs but wouldn't surprise me if Lopetegui has started to have some chats with agents about his plans.

Madrid seem to be under pressure to make 3-4 big signings, one of whom being Milinkovic-Savic who's similar, so Lopetegui has probably got to be decisive on his more saleable fringe players like Kovacic (and possibly Bale)...

Need to be careful when taking transfer talk from radio stations especially foreign ones. How many times have there been headlines on the BBC about our players leaving/wanting to leave, yet when you read/listen to the articles yourself you find out it's actually only really the opinion of dicks like Lawro or Savage

He can't even get a start for Croatia
A bit hard when your manager wants to play 4-2-3-1 and Modric and Rakitic are already in the squad.

And again, another example of an opinion on a player being based on whether they get into an international team/squad.

Of course, goes without saying. Still think my points apply however.

I don't expect us to even try and sign him anyway. As much as I'd like it.

To play for your national team should not be a benchmark really....
There is sometimes no correlation to performances for their clubs

There are enough examples where some dicks as national coaches don't nominate players which have been brilliant and nominate those who are shit...

We in austria know that... our coach for the EC in 2008 (hosted by switzerland and us) left some players out and just said "he didn't nominate the best players, but the right players" we crashed out in group stages, only scoring 1 goal and earning 1 point...so not really the right players - our last coach sticked to some players that have been on the bench for german 2nd tier clubs and left others that performed well out...
Same could be said about Jogi Löw who sticked to players he trusted (e.g. Podolski, Klose, Schweinsteiger) even when they were already in decline - now he left out Leroy Sané who had a hell of a season imo and stick with some useless pricks like Ozil (just kidding :ROFLMAO:)

Back to Kovacic - he was born and raised in austria - so there is some kind of media coverage from time to time about him and his roots in Linz - he lived here till he was 13 and then went to Dinamo Zagreb
He seems a real down to earth guy - when he visited Linz 2 years ago he couldn't give the media an interview because Real have to agree on every single interview he give.

Think he would be a top signing but the competition for his signature will be imense IF he leaves Real. Which will depend on how his new manager plan with him...

If you've deemed good enough, then there is always a way of integrating you into any team, and even one that dominates the world stage like Croatia!

I guess Dybala isn't good enough then because he can't get into the Argentina team.
