I think that point has been ever since the world cup was over, has yet to be seen if Chelsea would even consider a realistic figure. If they can bring in Fekir and Kovacic to offset that loss I still see them as a really dangerous team.

If we got Kovacic and Fekir, and even if we lost Toby to MU, I would be so very happy with our window.

If Kovacic is leaving, I highly doubt they're gonna move Ceballos on as well (even though we aren't seriously linked)

If they sell or even loan Kovacic I would imagine RM will go all out for Thiago.

He was definitely a available at the start of the window. Was one of a number of players Bayern put on the market. Might have changed since Vidal left but there is still talk. Now Barca bought Vidal and Arthur they don't really need another CM. I doubt RM would spend 100 mil on SMS unless they sell Modric.

Sky sports are saying Bakayoko is in talks with ACM Milan over a loan. Maybe this is to create room for Kovacic?

I follow Lyon and love Fekir there but am not sure he's a fit with our current Spurs side. The troubling things is he is not in tonight's Lyon side and from my watching of Liverpool he is the only thing missing from their squad. If they push out for him then things look even more grim for our first home game of the season/stadium.

Why on Earth would we even want to entertain a deal like that?? We want full time Spurs owned players, not developing another clubs one.

Potentially fantastic player, but yeah, let’s get him in, fall in love with him and send him on his way to RM. because that would go down well at the end of the season.

I know you will get loads of optimistic ratings for this. And most likely we will get Lobotka and Berge but really, I would hope we would put up the money to get Kovacic Is Dembele really is off.

Apparently Sarri said last night that he intends to give RLC games this season and rates him highly. With all the other CM's they have I just can't see why they would take Kovacic or why he would choose to go there knowing there's all that competition for 1 place as Jorginho and Kante are certainly taking the other 2 in a 3 man central midfield.

Sarri is no mug, I think Kovacic would be perfect for their midfield 3 but it makes no sense considering who they have on their books. I think RLC will get a good amount of game time for them this season.

Agree. Time to get off the pot. Not very often a player of his quality comes up and is attainable for us.

Really disappointing if we miss out on both Kovacic and Zaha. Even more if they both end up at the bridge. Previous ITK seemed to suggest that does “Willian days” where over... guess not.

At least I hope Poch in some way is on board with the decision of not paying the asking price...

We probably haven’t tried for kovacic so haven’t missed out on him.

Itk suggests we haven’t been interested in zaha for a while and also don’t view him as good value so haven’t missed out on him.
