We were clearly in for Kovacic but yet again a top CM has gone to a rival / Chelsea. Yes, we weren't linked with him in the media but I find it very hard to believe we weren't trying for him.

especially considered we have cl and they haven't. We are on the height (sofar) in terms of reputation and revenue and we still can't manage to sign quality players. Can't remember who but one outlet was reporting Modric is meeting with Perez today. Kovacic will go to Chelsea and they'll continue that unless that meeting goes topsy turvey.

We probably haven’t tried for kovacic so haven’t missed out on him.

Itk suggests we haven’t been interested in zaha for a while and also don’t view him as good value so haven’t missed out on him.

Think this shows where we are considered regarding the pecking order of clubs, remember when we happily sold Bale and then Ozil fucked off down the road but we got a super special partnership for some training cones or something.
