I was on a river cruise last year and was taught to pronounce Gogh with a glottal "G" . Pleat will surely cock it up.

Add a player of his caliber in the defense against Juve and there's a chance Tottenham make it to the same stage City did in UCL (debatable, but a selling point to emphasize his value and the comparative aspirations of the club). And the most recent young player given a serious chance in the side plays the same position as him and was his former teammate, something City have no comparison for.

The other thing Tottenham have over the other top clubs is the opportunity to do it first for the club in the PL. Depends on how MdL values that, but there's something to be said for it meaning more for the club and for where the club is in its history. Which can be appealing for some early in their career.

No one is saying we aren't tempting, they are saying that those that think you only choose city for money are frankly deluded.

Our biggest advantage is the career development of our previous Ajax purchases. All have gone straight into the starting eleven and really developed.
However, if Pep gives him assurances he's straight in the first team then City will always be first choice.
