He claimed somewhere he wants to play with dav and jan

Also apparently said he’s not going to let money dictate where he goes, wants it to be what’s best for him and his future, which would lead me to believe he’d pick Spurs over City.

And bid €5m more than our apparently accepted bid
Herc's was in response to this rumor. It's from a twitter punter with an Italian outlet and no ties to Spurs or City. How he would such in depth knowledge nobody else has is... something.

Uh. While i agree with the sentiment that selling Toby without a replacement would be pretty dumb, i don't think the non-purchase of this one particular player would be a criminal offense. To me, it matters less that it has to be this kid, but rather a solid replacement in general. Whether that be De Ligt, Tah or another.

I still think we are favourites, and it seems (according to itk) that we have Tah as a back up to Ligt so we won't be left scratching our balls.

#thfc target Matthijs de Ligt last month: "I am going to make a decision with my head, not based on money. I think some players would be tempted when they get massive offers. But compared to ordinary people I think I earn a huge wage right now, anyway."

From Hotspur related on twitter. Seems a smart lad

well looking at their wage list they must pay bigger bonuses than us. if they are paying Jesus and Sane £90k a week, very much doubt they would offer a defender of his age £200k

https://www.totalsportek.com/money/manchester-city-player-salaries/

Are they only offering Jesus and Sane £90k a week ? (he says only). I thought they were on more than that?
Ok, maybe £200M was a bad example , they could still pay an 18 year old superstar wages comparable with our top earners like Kane and Hugo, which of course we wont.

Not so mate!

I stand corrected. Plus, someone I know and trust who follows De Ligt has revealed he has said this, after City allegedly tried to gazump our £55 million bid with a bid of £60 million...

Good lad. Very impressive and refreshing to hear that from a lad of only 18 with a brilliant future.

If that has been posted before, I apologise but I'm not going to trawl my way back through this entire thread just to find out.
