'Footballing reasons'. What like "Rose isn't really that good, that's why I signed Davies". Works for me!

Why is there no "mystery" surrounding the handfull of other players that have stayed behind? Infact, you could say there is more mystery with them because they weren't involved in that nonsense in Serbia 2 years ago. amiiiiriight?

Not that good yet still our first team left back in the league......
Rose was terrible last season but then the whole team was shocking! This season he has looked a lot better & so far has looked better than Davies.

Long term i think Davies will over take him but currently Rose has the spot. Good competition for the team but going forward i personally dont think either are good enough for that next level were trying to achieve.

So far Rose has held the slot at LB in the league, whilst Davies has been played in the cups. Much like AVB with Lloris/Friedel, Poch seems to have taken the viewpoint that the LB slot is Danny's to lose and Ben's to win. So far Rose has shown alot of improvement and retains his place, if he screws up then Davies is there to take it from him and Rose will play in the cups.

Happy for Rose, glad he turned his form around, always knew there was a decent player in there, got way too much stick from some of our fans.

Completely disagree... Last season, when10/10 crosses goes to a defender or out of bounds you deserve the complaints.he blindly played the ball into the box countless times, kicking it almost as hard as he could. Defensively he is much like walker, can recover from mistakes with pace. But going forward last season I would rather have Mark Hughes trying to put a ball in.

This season I don't feel he has been that much better… He had a good game against West Ham and QPR. However against Liverpool the first goal came directly from him being out of position and then he jogged back… I do not feel that He will stay in the side much longer… Stronger teams will tear him apart and he is not good enough going forward to merit more time.

Last season he was definitely poor just like a lot of other players however I put that down to Tim playing Eriksen in a free role and giving him license to wander which meant that Rose didn't have much protection. Its little wander when Rose has actually showed signs of improvement it's when the team has been under proper tactical instruction (under AVB and Poch).

This season he has been much better though and is showing signs of improvement, funnily enough against West Ham I thought he was average, he didn't stop the many Downing crosses which were coming into the box. In regards to the Liverpool game, none of our defenders really covered themselves in glory particularly in the first goal, if you look at it again you could hardly say that the goal was solely Rose's fault.
