Rest him for wycombe and pray he's available for the Sunderland match in 9 days.

Poch is always so positive I'm still not sure TA will be fit. We've been here before this season.

I don't think he's been 100% since he came back.... he's still playing well but just not bossing it as much as he usually does, maybe the injury is playing on his mind.

Easily the best defender in the Prem though!

Hope the news of Eric is the beginning of his rehab as he would be great to have for the last ten games of the season!

I did watch Chelsea and he was excellent, but just feel he normally plays with an aura around him like you're not going to mess with him because he's just too damn good. I'm not having a go far from it, if anything its a compliment to how good he is.

I didn't notice his aura was missing...

Talking of injuries, get well soon, Ryan Mason. I'd be surprised if he plays this season, but what's important is that he makes a full recovery. Are outfield players allowed to wear protective headgear like Cech does?

Great news. With a fully fit squad I honestly feel we're as good as any side in the league. We don't have the depth of some of the other teams because we don't have the cash but if Toby, Lamela and Jan can all get back soon we'll push everyone else close in three competitions.

Great news about Toby of course, but Poch's words about Lamela are more worrying. It sounds like the problem in his hip is not getting any better, and that it has now become a psychological thing with him, that he has to "challenge the pain" , to overcome it, because the result of his recent scan "was the same". Trying to play, or at least, to train, through a pain barrier, even if its to some part in your head, is not a recipe for success.

I tend to agree.
One possible alternative view, and a more hopeful one, is to remember Mr King. He had pain and played very well.
Hoping for the best with Lamela as I really appreciated his game, especially his mentality in closing out tight games in winning positions. He always impressed with his thoughtful action in those situations, although nowadays I suspect Dele would do the same.
