this is not logic.

Logic is this: That cost is about 1.3 of Benitez annual salary. He will be fired by xmas anyway, so it's like getting a free Benitez trial really

Been posted somewhere, but watch this link and you may think he is exactly what we want

Interesting.
I think I prefer him to AVB - he seems genuine enough.
But he would be a massive gamble.

Just not sure about this guy. Rather take a punt on Malkey Mackay before this guy or Moyes. But nobody got a crystal ball, well not one that works lol
Whoever it turns out to be will as usual have my support.

Did you read the piece? Because there's a clause in his contract that says if he wants to leave before his contract is over, he has to personally pay up his contract, and he has a year left on his £2m-a-year contract

However, we'd presumably just pay him a signing-on fee to cover it if we wanted him, so it's pretty much a non-story, but hey. It keeps the Spurs management rumour mill spinning

That sounds ridiculous to me, do such clauses really exist in football contracts?

Imagine if you had to cough up a year's salary to quit your job lol.

Are you OK? Immersed in cold water with brain malfunctioning rings alarm bells about possible hypothermia. Please let us know that you're alive and well or I shall worry all day.

That Pochettino seems like an alright sort of guy from the interview posted above. As someone said though, it would be a big gamble.

I agree, I'm just treating it like it's true

As I said previously, bullshit clause to agree to. If it's true makes me doubt his common sense

Other sources today report the total for THFC will be £4m if MoPo brings all four of his back room staff (and we pay their clauses). Still less than FdB or what we'd lose offloading Lamela so maybe DL will take the punt?

The Saints midfield may play some neat and tidy football but I'm just not convinced that Pochettino and his back room staff have what it takes to sort our defence out and it clearly does need sorting out.

I always get the impression that the Saints look almost as easy to score against as we do. Their defence in both their games against us looked as dodgy as ours and that's going some.

Quite frankly I'm fed up with seeing our defenders look like headless chickens whenever a ball is put into our box like its a live hand grenade and I've also lost count of the amount of times one simple ball over the top completely outfoxes them all and Lloris has to come to our rescue or just as often we concede simple goals. What frustrates me is why other defences in so called lesser teams on a fraction of what ours are paid can do a better job a hundred times over without breaking a sweat. I don't see this changing under Pochettino by what I've seen of the Saints.

Sounds a bit like AVB:

Managerial style
Pochettino favours a very high pressing attacking style of football. He favours usually a 4-2-3-1 formation. While doing so, he emphasizes his teams to build pressure from the back, intimidate and unsettle opponents easily. He has also been hailed by many pundits for his focus on developing local players from the clubs' youth academies.[20][21]

If Mauricio Pochettino really did sign a contract like that then he sounds like a complete idiot .... so he should fit right in! ;)

Im fine so dont worry lol.
See some arse rated my post with a Doh! so think I should clarify as that may have been taken out of context.
I meant we have about as much chance of getting Anchelotti as we have of Messi and Ronaldo so any report linking us with him isnt worth bloody reading imo.
Cleared that up.;)
