"His decision to wear a tie given to him by former executive chairman Nicola Cortese for the final game of the season against Manchester United was seen in some quarters as a farewell signal. "

Obviously o_O

It would be amusing if the same people expressing indifference at whether he speaks in English or not and what he says are the same ones who were outraged whenever Sherwood or Redknapp said something which they didn't like.

AVB, Ramos through an intepreter and even Poyet to some extent just came out with banalities without a good grasp of English idioms. Only Martin Jol really got the good mix of excellent English, humorous yet intelligent comments and a bit of humility.

That is until he took us far as he could.

Surely the massive bonus in getting Pochettino is to help Lamela, communication was one of his biggest stumbling blocks this season, the lad obviously knows how to play football, thats why i can really see it happening.

So... considering he could barely string a sentence together 2 years ago, anyone else seriously impressed with the fact he can now speak English probably better than half of us?
