Lukaku seems to be well on his way for yet another loan spell, this time with Athletico. In the BPL you need an experienced forward. I think Ade has to stay. I can't see spurs bringing in another striker that will be effective from day 1, especially with all the changes taking place at the lane. Ade, Soldado and Lamela (touch wood) with Eriksen in the hole is about as exciting as it comes...its looks bright hey?

He is 30 so no big club would take him on. As long as we are willing to pay his wages there is no threat of him moving on.

He has at least 2 more years in him physically.
So as far as the coming season is concerned using Ade as a focal point makes sense.

I call bullshit on this article. I doubt there's anybody outside of Levy and Poch who actually know what the new manager's going to do with our squad.

I personally believe we'll see an effective squad rotation system, wherein ALL competitions will be of importance to facilitate a winning culture just as AVB did. This time there will be no Sherwood to bail out Ade in the event of any dissent to the tactics that saw him exiled in the first place.

Poch's training methods are said to be draconian, and if Ade can demonstrate that he can work outside the comfort zone of Sherwood's VIP / 'keys to the club' / guaranteed starts and put his work in like everybody else - I'd be the first guy to support him starting.

Having coached La Liga, in an era where Soldado has been regarded as one of Spain's finest strikers it's hard to conceive that he'll be a casualty of the new regime. With an improved Chadli, a toughened up Lamela and an in-form Eriksen playing in his preferred position - a stage can be set for Soldado to pose a threat to defences, particularly with his impressive work-rate that nobody can argue with.

It's Levy's default. He's unlikely to chnage that. If the price is right he will sell. Another good season from Eriksen and the vultures will circle and Levy will sell. You only have ti look to the players we have lost for proof of that.
Levy sold only when the players in question wanted out (Modric, Bale, Berbatov). Levy would not sell if the players could be persuaded to stay.
