they care about money more than that. its the supporters who make the most fuss about winning. there is no evidence that Lewis or Levy are unhappy with Poch.

I agree with you. I dont think either DL or Lewis are unhappy with Poch and tbh they way they are, I'm worried they wont ever be, if he delivers CL once in a while - just like many on here.
But ultimately, will that be enough to save him in the future? I dont think so, certainly not after a few more years if theres no trophy and barely a CL qual.
Also, theres only so many CL quals you can get with no trophies/titles before fans get pissed off at the manager/club and the club takes action. See Arsenal for perfect example. Even though he has delivered a few FA Cups in his time over the last decade, fans still want him out and he's become a laughing stock amongst other clubs' fans.

not for any good reason. people here like to point that out but he's still won 3 trophies since our last. the playing field these days isnt remotely even. it all comes down to resources.

Dafuq is this shit?
Poch out is what it is. I think the draw at SCBC was the final straw for some people. Well, as far as I can tell, one person, but then again I haven't followed it that closely, I had to go out and get some panty pads, I was laughing that much.........so there might be more than one.

I wonder if there'll be a demonstration outside Wembley before our next game and a Poch out banner sneaked into the ground o_O

I think that you are being a bit impatient and I think that you are forgetting (or perhaps not being mindful enough) of the fact that all of the teams above us are established CL clubs (albeit Liverpool had a wobble for a few seasons but before that were perennial CL qualifiers) and/or clubs that have come into a ridiculous amount of money with benevolent owners who are not first and foremost looking at running the club along business lines. Remember that whilst we have an illustrious past (albeit without the share of league titles enjoyed by other clubs), we REALLY lost our way in the 90s and it has taken a long time to catch up with the other clubs. Yes, maybe eventually just qualifying for the CL will not be acceptable but we are still relative newcomers to the top 4 party.

To be clear, what trophies do you think he should be delivering with a net spend of zero and a wage bill that's less than half that of the 5 rich clubs?

Plenty of these clowns have turned up since we became somewhat decent. This forum was more bearable after a disappointing result when we knew we were shit.

As recently as 2006/7, when we first got into Europe under BMJ. So many of us were so excited to finally be back in European competition, where we belonged..

Now some of us feel we are above that competition. :(

It's a sad bi-product of the relative success we have had since ENIC took over.

:eek::eek::eek:Sounds as if some Chelsea/Liverpool/Man Utd type fans had switched over to THFC.
Or maybe just been spoilt as children. Expect everything and immediately.

FFS patience is certainly not in their vocabulary.
COYS and doing it the right way.(y)

From MoPo's book, during his lunch with Ferguson:
He spoke to me about how he had to restructure everything when he arrived at United. He did so in keeping with his own philosophy, even though they finished 11th two years out of three, followed by 13th, sixth, second and only after that did he achieve league success. His Manchester United side were like the Tottenham team that I inherited when I took over...
We haven't an Oligarchy, or a nation backing us, so we are doing things the old fashioned way. And that approach has already garnered us a third and second place finish in an increasingly top heavy elite league. And I for one am very proud that the club I've supported through thick and thin, are doing so well by doing it the right way. Pochettino has changed this club entirely, in a way it hasn't been since a certain William Nicholson walked through those gates 70 odd years ago.

I'll not be having any of this hysterical shite.

Exactly. The people who are moaning about him need to read that paragraph from the book, then read it again, then read it again.

Sure he frustrates me on occasion, others have covered the points so I won't mention them again but he's a breath of fresh air compared to some of the managers of the past. He is allowed to be criticised for his errors too but it doesn't take much to remember what it was like under Sherwood (and AVB at times). Jesus Christ, Sherwood. I used to go to the games and just sit there like the majority of the rest of the stadium with the enjoyment of supporting THFC sucked out of us by that man.

Yeah, I get that, but at the same time that seems to be pretty poor. I know Batman at Chelsea has supplied more than 2 on his own, Giroud is a bench threat, Jesus has to have a couple.

Sky Sports flashed a stat during the first half of the Bristol City v Man City game, so far this season City have 13 goals from substitutes (the most in the Football League), Man Utd have 12. We have 1. Even without context that's a pretty awful stat.

Poch has been brill since he came and obviously learnt and evolved his way through every challenge- till now.

I'm now concerned he picks Dier no matter what, and that he picks two defensive mids and Sissoko thus unbalancing the team, limiting our attacking threat. Far too conservative.

And his subs come too late and are often weird. If the opposition has a quick right back he seems not to have a clue how to redeploy Son.

If we have everyone fit and firing we know we can do anyone, but that run beginning next Wednesday won't allow us to pick the same first XI throughout. I'm already having nightmares about Dier being pressed into fack ups at Anfield.

Let's be honest Lamela doesn't carry the threat so the addition of someone else with pace and off the ball movement could mean the difference between top 4 or a damp squib return to the Europa league in the new stadium. Time for the transfer committee, especially Poch, to back their own judgement...

So far he's put forward two managers that wouldn't get on with Levy, he clearly hasn't thought this through.
