I never considered the alternate meaning until just now. Maybe Lucas didnt mind after all.:X3:
I'll be more careful in the future.

I wasnt happy about poch pulling moura off. I thought others deserved to be subbed instead. However thats why he gets paid the big bucks. To make the big calls. He got this one right or lucky depending on your perspective. For me it was a sign of poch maturing as a manager. Just like players, managers have to learn and gain experience too. Now if only he could speed things up, and makes substitutions nearer to when the match turns.
Oh and care about winning minor trophies like the crockopoo cup. Then i'd be happier.

It was obviously based on minutes played during this 4 games in 8 days spell. He's had to manage minutes to prevent injury risk going through the roof. Moura has played a lot.

Shame. Mouras been the one player thats really impressed me since we bought him. I always get the impression he wants to win. He puts a shift in. I really enjoy seeing his name on the teamsheet. If only he could finish after his mazy runs through defences. As with the Man Utd game it shows he can be a class act, I guess poch's problem is how to get that performance from him consistently.

Interesting read, although nothing new, I think we do sometimes forget what we are competing with and the bit where:

"The shade was subtle but unmistakable. And at times, as Tottenham have laboured their way to another gritty 1-0 win against inferior opposition, or suffered inevitable knockout defeat to a club that could probably buy it several times over, you wonder whether Pochettino isn’t ultimately destined for one of these other, more conventional clubs: where billionaires purchase wonderfully exciting footballers as a surrogate for morality, where the trophies have always flowed like champagne. The sort of club where you don’t have to pretend through gritted teeth that you were delighted with Eric Dier’s performance tonight. Where the tides don’t rise and fall based on which side of the bed you got out that morning, where you don’t have to be happy all the time, where you don’t have to swallow down your mortal fear that your only good striker will get injured, because you can just go out and buy another. "

is pretty good :)

The whole article is pretty good. I quite like Liew as a writer. He’s one of the only journalists out there who doesn’t seem to have a biase against a club.

Was expecting to find a wankfest over Poch after yesterday's performance but was surprised to see there had been no action on this thread for a day. So, I'll get us started by popping the tissues out.

He really got everything spot on yesterday - set the team up perfectly to smother Jorginho and put real pressure on the two CBs by playing two up top. Congratulations, Poch. Continues to impress.

Loved the first half watching poch and sarri. Poch sitting having a laugh with jesus and sarri scribbling "die luis die" in his note pad.

Just saw his press conference. Journalist asked about his tactics.

"Our plan was to win the game, and we won".

Also said something that i think a lot of fifa and fm players need to understand. Formation isn't important positioning is.
