Poch could say he's not leaving tottenham every single day and the media will still say he'll leave for the next big club at the first opportunity, what poch says doesn't matter to them.

“The most important club in the world is Tottenham,” Pochettino says. “And it is the best club in the world. I need to feel like this and that emotion is real because I cannot be fake. It’s too difficult to create the trust if you don’t really believe and it’s not real, that emotion. Today, Tottenham is in my head 100%. Today, I do not change Tottenham for another position in the world because I am so involved, so focused.

“The club deserves to have people that think only about the club, the fans, the players and the structures – and they provide us with an unbelievable life. It’s important to recognise that. It’s an amazing club and it’s so important for us to pay back the club for the way that they treat us.”

I'll be absolutely gutted if he ever leaves.
Think ill stop following football if that day ever arrives. Everything about him is pure class. Its been and everlasting cycle of idiots since the 80's. When we were first linked with him i had a very good feeling...he never once commented about it, out of respect for Southampton...I was sick and tired of Redknapp mouthing off every chance he got and AVB just hadn't got a clue. I think the reason the media are in a frenzy about departures out of the club is because people are getting worried. I mean were only a small club and they rather talk about the big ones. Fuck them. I thought it would work. There was just something about him at Southampton. Every time I watched them play I was impressed about how organised they looked and how he'd improved most of the squad there. Even so, he's done better than I even expected he would with us.

He does use “today” a lot .Cynics will say what about tomorrow. Some of his stuff does get lost in translation,so he may not be saying it in a way to cover himself. He honestly seems to love the job though. And it must be so much more rewarding to do it this way than have a cheque book owner.I think he relishes the challenge. And realised he can be our fergie and build a dynasty and leave a legacy.

The dream scenario for me is that he becomes our fergie and, just like bielsa did, he creates his own group of desiples(Kane, dier, lloris etc) who can one day take over from him

That is a beautiful read! I love his acknowledgement and appreciation, which points to the fact that Poch and Spurs have positively transformed and developed each other; a symbiotic relationship, which is still moving forward and has so much potential.

It's nice that we have backroom staff who really cares about the club. I have to say that I was very sceptical when all former players (Redknapp's staff) left Spurs. Very happy proven wrong.

It’s a nice read but ultimately what people say has very little to do with what they do. Actions speak louder than words, and time and again in football promises are broken. It’s not just the media instigating that.

Obviously hope he stays for another 5 years but we’ll see. Think it best not to fret about these things and enjoy it all while we can

Those Poch comments must have really pissed off the folks at Sunday Supplement (will listen later on).....Neil Ashton probably had a whole segment planned on how wednesday night was in actual fact a disaster since now the manager will leave for RM and take all our best players with him.

Or perhaps they will just ignore it because when Real Madrid "come knocking".........blah blah bullshit bullshit bullshit

just listened to The Game podcast from The Times this evening - Gab Marcotti interviewed Balague (spelling?).....well worth a listen.

At one point Marcotti says something along the lines of "presumably he won't stay at Spurs as long as fergie stayed at Man U". Balague immediately interrupts him and says "why not"!!

He then says MP has already been asked by two other clubs and has said no each time.

One I imagine is Man U. Any idea of the other? Chelsea???
