It's an interesting point.

Poch has been linked to Real Madrid a lot. But most see he is a horrible fit for them. Not to say he would necessarily do a terrible job there but his qualities as a manager don't seem a good fit for them.

But how he manages our club does mimic to an extent the way SAF managed Utd. He would likely be a good fit there.

You are right that Utd are a big draw. If the job was available at the end of the season it is my belief that Poch would stay with us.

At the end of this season, I think he'd stay here too. But as Mourinho's likely to leave in a couple of years rather than this year, then I'm not so sure. We'll have to see. It's certainly more tempting than a lot of people are making out

If I remember right didn't he actually say that he'd love to do that but in football you never know how things will work out so he just takes everything one week at a time (or something along those lines). It was a bit of a "who knows" kind of response to a question unless I'm thinking of a different comment than you.

I think he has said on a few occasions that he wants to do with us what Fergie did with United. He probably caveats it every time - I think he caveats anything to do with the future, just as a precaution.

Im not concerned about Poch leaving for United. In Poch's interviews he comes across as very commited to the club. He doesn't come across as a worker at the club but rather as being a part of the club. He is entrenched into the club's values and tradition.

He and the Dear Leader have a common goal.. One leads in the direction of the clubs the other leads on the field of play...maybe im too much of a romantic here but he is no way like a Conte or Mourinho / Pep who work for their current clubs vs Poch who is becoming a part of our club.

This is some good viewing, especially for anyone who hasn't seen it, but well worth a second watch, too. Balague "He's investing so much, Pochettino, emotionally in this".

Craig Bellamy comes out of it surprisingly well, too...for a psycho :)

I hope you're right.

So do I :)

Worth the listen. It reinforces the idea that Poch would rather win and build something out of his Philosophy rather than go to a money club and buy trophies.

Really really can’t see Poch going to Man.U unless Levy really fucks him off.

The 2 options would be Real Madrid or PSG and then Argentina national coach and Newels Old boys(the latter 2 being further towards the end of his managerial career).

If his family and close coaching staff remain happy in England and London and we continue to progress as we are and the new stadium takes us on another level on the pitch and financially off it then I think he will stay for a good 2-5 years in the new stadium.

Also 100% agree he’s the best thing that’s happened to us in years, he’s built a philosophy and completely changed the club and standard we play at, incredible job he’s done. BUT if the new stadium is up and running and we’ve been there for a year or 2 and still have most of our squad in tact with more financial clout etc, if worst comes to worst and Poch says he’s given it his all but wants to take Madrid or PSG job etc then I think there would be other top top level managers who could come in and still keep us at the same level or take us forward it would just be a hugely important appointment, obviously I hope poch can stay for another 10 years or so but I’m just saying if realistically he does leave in the short term I don’t think the club will just fall apart and crumble we’d jusr need to hire another similar manager to stamp their new style on us.

Fat fuck idiot dickhead of a presenter. That's the guy who got told to fuck off live on air by Harry Redknapp after calling him a wheeler deeler.

"I'm just putting forward an argument that he will never be considered a success until he wins titles".

That argument has been created by the media, by fat fucks like this guy - and what has this podgy prick ever won himself?

Absolute ****.

Head Coach of the Golden State Warriors in the NBA, Steve Kerr, seems to generally agree with Poch on the mindset of players drawing fouls in the NBA and I think his comments are applicable to diving.

That was Rob Palmer not Geoff Shreeves

Shreeves is a nob but he's just playing devils' advocate to form a debate, he took our side in another one of these Sky debates against Redknapp who was scathing of Spurs

I think Poch, much like Kane, is a rare breed in football. Both seem to have principles and are loyal. Used to be common years ago. I don't think Poch will be impressed by the advances of Real should they ever come. He genuinely loves us and he wants to be our Fergie.
