We have struggled against park the bus teams for several seasons. Pochettino has been tactical savvy enough to out play the likes of RM and Dortmund. He's no mug and I don't believe our main problems are tactical.

I believe the simple truth is that we don't have the right players to break down these WBA type of teams. Especially when our best players are out of form. We always look twice the team when we face teams that go at us because that plays to our players strengths. We just don't have that pure pace or technical type of players. And even Liverpool and United who have those players have struggled against park the bus teams.

This is it IMO...city just drew to Huddersfield and look at their squad.

The game was their for the taking, but no width and no guile in the middle. There were very few if any 1,2s and just very slow in the middle of the pitch. Didn’t look like we did when it was Son, Alli, Lamela, Eriksen, but form also has to be taken into account.

Either way, what is necessary as we move forward is a bit more pressing IMO. We need to start chocking teams in dangerous situations and creating counters in their half. Yesterday we kept getting the ball back, but it was in the middle of a park on a hoof. We need to be winning it off the foot of a fullback or a midfielder and turning that into a counter. Why this part of our game has left us is beyond me

Mourinho would probably walk after one window dealing with Levy so it’s a difficult comparison.

Personally I wouldn’t sack him if we come 5th as long as he hasn’t lost the dressing room. But he’d have very little credit left. A poor start to next season on top of 5th I don’t think he’d last long.

Poch has done wonders but I can't help thinking this is a huge week. Any professional would look at their position if we collapse twice in 3 seasons.

Who can we get better that can work under those constraints the real top managers want huge transfer kitty's to operate with something that our club wont do.

Would be ironic that his remit when he joined us was to be Champions League ready by the time of the new stadium, to having gone and achieved it twice, and then go and balls it up at the crucial time

Can’t actually believe people don’t think he’d be under threat if we come 5th. For me it wouldn’t actually be the coming 5th,it would be another massive bottle job. Poch whole mantra is changing our mentality, if we come 5th after 4 years in charge it would show he is no nearer changing it than on day 1. Absolutely massive 2 games in his career imo.

Hmmm we dont score playing a back 3 but we have scored in 20 odd games before that! Somehow i think u r talking rubbish

I think the team selection was wrong and we didn't score because we are out of sorts. We created chances.

WINNER WINNER. And I too thought we'd finish outside top 4 because of Wembley but when you look at how we got over that issue and built the lead , Wembley becomes irrelevant. Pivotal week.

So we are over achieving but you want more now?

Probably the biggest week in Poch's Spurs career right now. Two home games, against teams that have had history of screwing us over but also teams we should be beating.

Two games between success and failure for the season. Massive. Time for Poch and the players to step up and deliver.
