The good thing is this could hugely work in our favour or hugely against us

Really want to hear from @Hercules to calm everyone down...or make everyone lose their shit even more
At this point I imagine the only people who genuinely have any idea of what is going on are Perez, Poch, and Levy. Obviously Perez has briefed his people to 'spread the word' and Levy has briefed his people to 'stop the misinformation' and that's about it.

How do some of you get through a day?! o_O

depends if I'm working or not.

working:
put my toast on (like it cold)
bog break
wash hands sometimes
eat toast
have a cig
have a shower (make sure I clean nails pending on bog break)
get dressed
go to work
come home, have a cig
put computer on, check email, then onto SC
have lunch
bog break
have a cig
go to work
come home
have a cig
back to SC
dinner
have a cig
back to SC
have a cig
go to bed

sometimes someone might phone up for a taxi, I tell them to fuck off I've had a busy day

not working (same as above, bar the going and coming home from work)

We're only hours in, this is going to continue nonstop until the matter is settled one way or another. Madrid uses relentless media campaigns to unsettle their targets, it's the same thing that happened with Modric, Bale, and every other player they've ever wanted.
They use these tactics when its a 20-25 year old footballer with an agent yapping in his ear...Poch is a 45? year old man with no agent who knows exactly how the Spanish media and Real Madrid work.

How i see it it's just media noise from journos who have fuck all to write about for a few weeks.
Zidane would've made his mind up weeks, perhaps even months ago if he was off, he would've let Perez know as well, who has probably already sounded out Poch ages ago about taking over, even if Zidane wasnt completely sure he'd have done it as a contingency...and thats even if Poch was 'the chosen one'.
I just don't see that Perez wouldn't have have been in Poch's ear even if it was just possibility, and if Poch wanted it i just cant see the sense in him signing a new contract with us...just means its gonna cost Madrid an absolute fortune to get him out of a five year contract where the ink's still wet.
Doesn't make sense.

If it wasn't for the new contract i'd be a bit worried.

The media are just casting about for hits. Calm your ovaries everyone. It'll be Conte or Wenger.
Hopefully. Really cant see what the appeal of RM would be for Pochettino. Would they allow him to build a squad without Ronaldo and other superstars if they are the ones upsetting the equilibrium of the team?

Managing Madrid isn’t as glamorous as it used to be. They finished miles behind an average Barca side in comparison to previous years. Real needs a major squad overhaul but that’s now 10 times more difficult due to FFP. As others have said, no immediate success = getting the sack. Only a manager driven by pound signs would take the job.

This is what’s worrying me, the silence is deafening. If Poch is true to his word I am sure he will stay with no real issue, my problem is this is Real we are talking about, he is Espanyol through and through and would relish the chance to put Barca back down the league. But then again Madrid is going to be a complete rebuild in the next 2-3 years which won’t be easy... to conclude I have no idea what to think. We need something from Poch or the club.
Neither Levy nor Poch comment every time that Poch or a player is linked with a move away from the club.

Spanish media really pushing this

Paella fuckers

The spanish media is pretty quiet on it, its the Marca that doing it. Namely Madrid's mouthpiece. It indicates they do want him.

Also Paella is really a Valencian delicacy and is not something typical of Madrid or Spain. I think Spanish Omelette fuckers, or Tortilla de Patatas fuckers, would be a much more authentic and cultural conscious insult.

Do you really believe that there's a sum that Madrid could offer that would make sense to Levy?
Undoubtedly yes. IF Pochettino wanted to leave, and Madrid wanted to pay enough for it, he'd go. End of story, good night. Do I believe they would offer said sum, not really. But that's only one of two intertwined points. People seem to think that Pochettino will stay because his latest contract is so fresh. That there is some magic timeline that will stir all these fuzzy feelings in the sentimental, cuddly bear buddy Pochettino. There is not. That's just all in our heads. Supposedly, the new contract shows a different commitment to the club now than a couple of weeks ago. It's not the case. The new contract shows that Levy was prepared to pay Pochettino more for his services. That's it. Fans' perceptions are guided by emotions, as they should be. We have nothing but emotions invested. Directors, players and managers are not primarily driven in their decision making by emotions. Maybe they should be? Therein lies the big difference between what fans think, and what actual stake holders in fact do.

Imagine being a football journalist and typing the phrase "informal agreement with Daniel Levy" in earnest. How do these people think our chairman operates, anyway?

FWIW, I don't think he'll leave, but if he does, so be it. It would definitely hurt our progress, but no one's bigger than the club, the manager included.

Poch is a rare breed.

He's a knowledgeable, progressive, nurturing, & honorable man / manager who believes & stays true to his vision. He got Levy to buy into his philosophy. Poch has the ambition to build something special here & is willing to put in the time & effort as long as he is backed.

Other so called "top" managers such as Mourinho, Conte, Ancelotti, Scolari, Van Gaal & Hiddink etc are & have been easily discarded. They operate in the here & now. Almost on a superficial level relying on substantial investment to succeed.

Poch may not yet have the years of experience that some of these managers may have but his methodology & his willingness to completely immerse himself in the implementation of a philosophy within & throughout a club is seemingly 2nd to none. That is where most of his value lies.

If he were to walk, we would be seriously crippled.

I think employee's of a club can't be much more invested in a club than simply about money, if that wasn't true we wouldn't have some of the players we do. I believe most of our players are invested in our club and in part to Poch. Also either Poch is a very good liar or he is heavily invested in our club Andy the project he started out on. Now don't get me wrong Madrid will make any manger raise an eyebrow, but I believe Poch will happily be here next season.
