Just watched the latest YouTube video from the chap that co-wrote Brave New World. He heavily hinted that Poch will be off not this year, but possibly thereafter.

Are we still on this? Poch just signed a new contract. Kane, Ali, Eriksen, just followed suit. He's not going anywhere. Media hype.
Agree... Complete bollocks made up of 'sky sources' apparently saying this and that to make up viewing time on sky sports news.. Just waiting for redknapp jnr and other big mouth pundits two penethworth confirming 'I told you so I was right'... Something also tells me there's been a lot of itk self promotion from a certain senor balague as he has a large interest in the sale of potch's book.

Okay, okay, don’t lose sleep over this (UK) Sc’ers. SC America will take over the freak out for now and we’ll hand it off to SC Down Under who will pass the freak out baton back to you without a hitch when you wake up. Sweet Dreams.

I thought about this and the uncertainty is great for book sales. However, uncertainty sucks when you’re trying to tempt players to change clubs and commit the next several years to another club in often what is another country. I’m not sure what to think.

He signed a new contract just days before the CL final, if he wanted to go to RM he would have surely waited a little longer to see how that panned out before putting pen to paper its not rocket science.

As for his statement about the RM job yesterday, Poch does want to manage RM in the future so he can't be seen to turn it down Publicly hence his comments ,its all a PR game, I'm pretty certain he is being advised not to blow them out and he knows exactly what he's doing you cannot turn RM in public and then expect to manage them in the future.hence all the comments about ''tomorrow and DL'', he knows exactly what he's doing and so does RM, he's basically leaving the door open

Ofc he's taking a risk of not being offered the job again, football changes quickly, but with all thats going on right now at the Lane, he is too emotionally involved i believe, in the new stadium and our progression which he has masterminded.

He signed for us last week because he had and has no intention of leaving us for anyone at this present time.

Sky bet have him at 10/1 now to be the next Real Madrid manager, they can say what they like but that tells you that they know he isn’t going anywhere

Zidane has been under pressure all season, it seemed like he was facing the sack after every big match. Poch appears to have been there number 1 target all season to replace Zidane, so surely Real Madrid and Perez sounded Pochettino out before this week?

Perez and Madrid have previous, plus I think Guillem Balague said back in December after we defeated them that Poch was Perez's 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th choice and that Pochettino was aware of the interest as was Spurs.
So knowing your their top target and the whole world knowing the job would possibly be available after the Champions League final and it's your dream to manage them.....why sign the contract? Because Pochettino is currently not interested in the Real Madrid job and wants to see the Spurs job through.

Also if it is your dream then why not ask for a release cause?? By not pissing off the Madrid media and fans, Poch knows they will come back for him and when the time is right he goes.

Right now we are going to have to endure the articles of, Poch wanted to come but it was Levy that has prevented his dream, the Spanish media don't take rejection of their biggest club well and our media need something to write about in the off season - ignore the media for 48hrs!

I read the Castle's article. It's a crock. A real bit of comedy gold to be honest. It's a headline in search of an article.

It claims
1. Perez has been engineering Poch's takeover for months and met with him to assess him.
2. Mentions Balague's report then ignores it.
3. Perez made the decision to replace Zidane before the CL final.
4. Poch publically expressed his desire for the job by praising Zidane and chopping up his quote about it not being brave to manage Madrid but left out that bit.

It's annoying but I really don't know anyone who takes Castles seriously. He probably did a chuckle for his true love in Mourinho.

its ridiculous. While I do believe he wants to manage RM one day, I think its pretty clear he does not want to at the moment.

He knew, there was uncertainty over ZZ's future before the Champions League final. If he wanted to go now, signing that contract before that final would make absolutely no sense at all, as it makes it harder for him to leave. By doing so he effectively sabotaged his own chances of taking over.

This really isn't difficult to understand and seems fairly obvious to me.

just goes to illustrate some in the media doe have an agenda, whether thats stirring up trouble, anti-THFC or just generating clicks, I'm not sure, but there's a lot of dishonest journalism out there.

Duncan @ TheTimes used to have a good top table source (AvB) but those days are gone... now as far as I’m concerned his THFC news is all click bait #MyOpinion

Watched SSN last night for about 10 minutes. Top of the show they were declaring Real have pulled out of the idea of signing Poch because Levy would be to hard to negotiate with and the saga would most probably last all summer.

Sky then proceed to ask a studio present ickle' Dennis Wise his views on the matter.

Perching proudly on his oversized stool, Dennis manages to miss the 'Real pull out of Poch chase' headline, to spend 5 minutes saying Poch didn't turn them down, chance, leave, crap.

Let it go Wise, let it go.
