I've never fancied an overseas billionaire sugar-daddy to come in and buy the club, but I'm massively swaying now. The smell of oil is too enticing, I just want us to sign top quality players - IT'S BEEN A HARD 28 YEARS SUPPORTING THIS CLUB AND WE ALL BLOODY DESERVE IT! We deserve to tap up a Hazard and have him agitate for a move, we deserve to take our rival's captain on a Bosman, we deserve to see finally make a splurge and be good to go for Day One of the new season....

I'm not sure there are actually that many people who think Levy is infallible.

I think most would realise that he has made many mistakes over his term in charge, and he is still making them today.

But it is 100% fact that we are a better team now than when he took over. Much much better in fact.

So when people's criticism (most of which is justified) spills over into abuse and vitriol, it just looks childish to be honest.

Mind you if Levy lets Poch go then I'll be hear calling him a wank-pheasant with the rest of you.

I think it's fair to say he's made a right royal cock up of this window to date, backed up by these Poch comments.

It's clear he has been fantastic for us but he is 6 days away from a slip up of Stevie G proportions.

Poch has often said that he and Daniel Levy speak every day so I’m certain he knows what is happening and how hard it is to get players in and I’m also sure he wouldn’t throw his toys out of the pram and quit over a difficult transfer window. He just signed a long term contract and he’s got a good team already.

He wouldn't just walk, I'm sure of that.

But if, for example, Mourinho flounces out of United, I know exactly where they'll be looking, and they would easily compensate him for anything he'd lose by walking away.

I think the word 'poppycock' was designed for posts exactly like this one.

If you honestly believe that then I think you've been supporting a different club for the last 20 years.
Levy has taken us as far as he possibly can. Now we could potentially be making us fall again because of his ways. If you dont see that, your oblivious to what is going on in the PL.

Yep I think that is entirely fair.

Yes there's a week to go, but I'd now be very surprised if we did more business than maybe one in and one out. And that's not enough for where Levy seems to want us to be.

I’m more concerned about the lack of outgoings at this point. There’s no strong indications of any movement on that front at all.

If promises were made in terms of investing in the squad, they may have been reliant on outgoings. If so, it’s a frustrating situation but Levy may not be in breach of a specific promise. But even if that is the case, it’s very clear that Poch expects proper investment this summer.

My gut instinct is we’ll end up with Zaha and Grealish, and maybe a second rate CB, but with Toby off to United (possibly with Shaw the other way) and Rose to Wolves.

For me (and I imagine Poch) that won’t be quite enough. But Levy will do just enough (and only just) to stop short of leading Poch to breaking point.

Zidane is being thrown out as an option for them, but if Poch was up for leaving I reckon he'd be top choice too.

And that would hurt much more than any player not named Harry Kane going there.

We already have a billionaire sugar daddy he just chills on his yacht in the Bahamas and spends 38m on fucking paintings rather than us

I do like what he says about the youngsters still, I think it’s positive for them to hear that. If it was Mourinho for instance he would just be saying that he needs more as the players he has aren’t good enough.

As a whole though I don’t have much to say as we’ll see when the window closes but it seems like Levy needs a shift in mentality in these next few days.

It has been such a quiet window that it seems like way too much business needs doing now in such a short space of time. All in all it would just be a massive shame, we have such a good set of players that just needs few more additions but we won’t keep them together if we keep doing transfer business the way we do.

We've finished 3rd, 2nd, 3rd in the last 3 years, with a very good Champions League run thrown in there as well.

I accept that we need more money spent on the first team if we genuinely want to be title contenders for the long term, but saying someone's actions are 'disgusting' and 'get out of my club' rhetoric just smacks of someone who has been waiting for a chance to have a pop whilst things have been going very well for a while.

Speaking every day may equate to one text from Levy...’Zaha dead’

They have to be good enough to step into a team that wants to be challenging for the title.

The fact of the matter is that in the position we find ourselves, only the very best youngsters will deserve to get a chance.

Cup competitions/loans/emergency injury cover. That's where they will get their chances, but we are talking about players the quakity of Kane and Alli that need to come through...not the likes of Onomah etc.

They are once in a life time type players though. If you are right their is no point really in any of the top six having academies as it could be 20 or 30 years before a player of their quality emerges.

Levy’s actions this window will cost us Kane, Eriksen, Dele, Hugo, Jan on top of Poch. If you dont think there watching this calamity closely, your nuts. Why stay at a club where the chairman lacks any ambition?

Pochettino isn't going to resign, but I'm sure people in Madrid are watching events very closely.

You do know we've built one of the best training grounds and are building a new stadium? Hardly consistent with lacking ambition. And given Kane one of the highest paid contracts in the premier league.

Levy's fucked up the transfer window. That's all.
