I think people are confusing what Levy has done in the past - create some financial stability - with whether he can take the next step to turn Spurs into true title contenders.

Taking the next step is huge - and it requires taking risks, or to use Poch's words: "Be Brave"

I don't know if Levy has it in him to take those kinds of risks. He has - almost - always taken a risk adverse position on most dealings.

Agreed however Levy has had an even bigger part in getting us to where we are now.

As a club of course. I've never been the type to slag him off as I think he's done a hell of a lot right which has led us into a spectacular new stadium. However if his actions cause us losing Poch it'll take us back years in my opinion and could potentially have a negative knock on affect that'll take a long time to recover from.

Unbelievable that the happy clapping Levyites still won't hear any criticism of him.

You've even got the best manager Spurs have had in decades publicly saying he doesn't know wtf is happening and can't explain the lack of signings and people still kid themselves that all is well behind the scenes. Benitez said similar the other day and was laughed out of town because we all know the problems he is having up there. Now we've got out own manager saying it.

Levy has made one great appointment in 20 years and he is really running the risk of upsetting him and I wouldn't bank on levy getting it right again with his replacement. I really don't get why some on here are so bullish about the idea Poch could leave next summer because of the lack of ambition shown this summer.

You've been warned. It could easily end in tears very quickly and we still have no trophies.

No one is saying you can't criticise Levy. People are saying it is stupid to extrapolate some fairly standard comments from Pochettinho into him resigning and all our players leaving. Especially before the fecking window has even shut.

Are we in a worrying situation? Yes.

Is it worthy of a bedwetting meltdown that would even embarrass Arsenal fans? No.

Levy’s actions this window will cost us Kane, Eriksen, Dele, Hugo, Jan on top of Poch. If you dont think there watching this calamity closely, your nuts. Why stay at a club where the chairman lacks any ambition?

It's "they're" and "you're" you colonial pillock.

If you're going to sit the other side of the Atlantic spouting bollocks about a sport your obese, rifle toting comrades generally ignore at least do us the decency of not butchering the Queen's English while you're doing it.

Take a quick look at the other teams

United have signed Fred
Chelsea have signed Jorginho
City have signed Mahrez
Arsenal have signed a few but none would get in our team
Liverpool have overpaid a shed load to address the issues they had
Our competitors, Liverpool aside have all signed players who with the exception of Mahrez probably, wouldn't improve our starting XI in my opinion. Granted I don't know much about Jorginho but I'd heard of him. I'd never heard of Fred.

Relax a little

They've all still done something and have likely improved their squad options. Who cares what other teams are doing but Jorginho would walk into our team by the way.

Thank fuck. I’m so relieved. I was getting worried you were going to end your streak of posting this exact message every fucking summer. And being wrong as usual.

I don't think they are. We are title contenders now. Maybe bravery is believing in your players, developing youth players and building a squad rather than just buying a winning team? Let's face it, Chelsea and Citeh have won the league, sure, but anybody would have done with that type of investment. Our victory will not be hollow.

How are people “not hearing any criticism of levy”?

Again, all some people are saying is that

1. It makes sense to wait until the window closes because, as poch said in this interview you’re all losing your shit over, anything can happen

2. Yeah levy will have to answer questions if we don’t sign anyone and it’s bad we haven’t signed anyone yet but look at the context of most teams failing to get most of their targets and tbh it’s really as apocalyptic as some are making out, most top 6 managers except Klopp and Emery will be feeling a bit annoyed atm

We signed Sissoko, Janssen, GKN & Wanyama that summer.
That window is still dicking us big time. Only wanyama decent but injured and the other three hard to shift and tying us up in knots this window. Not to mention the 50m in fees and wages for sissoko we will never get back, plus the mark down on the other two.

I could see him quitting before the season at this point like Pulis did at Palace. And i wouldnt blame him at all. Levy gives him absolutely no backing whatsoever. He got duped into signing a new contract by Levy. We need to be sold ASAP if we want any chance of being back where we are now any time soon. No manager will ever want to manage us after seeing the way Levy treats the best manager we’ve had in years. Disgusting. Get the FUCK out of my club, Levy.
I can watch you melt like an immature child who has a tantrum in a grocery store and laugh because you're making a fool of yourself, you don't know the difference between 'there' and 'they're,' and it's all funny to watch. But this "Get out of my club" garbage really grinds my gears.

What makes you think this club is any more yours than Levy's, or mine, or anyone else's for that matter? The club belongs to everyone and no one, but it certainly doesn't solely belong to a grown man who is acting like a spoilt brat.

For me the thing is if we drop out of the top 4 it's going to be very, very difficult to break back in. Which is why we should be looking to strengthen whilst in a position of power.

Poch was being polite in those comments. I suspect behind the scenes he’s seething. He’s the kind of person who is loyal but only if it goes both ways. His brave comments were obviously about being backed in the transfer market, now he’s not being.

I’ll still be amazed if we get some players in. Iit’s just so quiet.

How are we doing that when we are being linked to sign players like Jack Grealish instead of Zaha or martial ?

Can't wait till this window is shut. Pretty much every year we end up with threads filled with either hyperbolic rubbish or people trying to mock other people's opinions as they can't handle negativity.

Poch’s words also back up what I’ve been thinking for weeks. It doesn’t seem that a single deal is close whatsoever. I suspect he’s as frustrated as the rest of us.

It’s all well saying wait until the end of the window to see what happens but it just feels like nothing is progressing at all quickly.
