I am not anti-Poch. But his words in the pre and post match conferences has been increasingly worrying. Seems that he tries to cover his discontent in a strange way.

It’s all looking pretty uncomfortable. It’s about the time for the end of a cycle when it comes to this club, wouldn’t be surprised to see big changes this summer.

My two pence worth is as follows;

At the start we weren’t regular top 4, so Poch could use the younger players; Mason, Bentaleb, winks and so on without too much pressure. Then we became title contenders amd the impending stadium move whereby Top 4 became a necessity, means Poch couldn’t risk youth players for fear of missing out on top 4. He doesn’t like to buy ready made players, they come with ego and he’s all about the collective.

We are literally stuck, a manager who prefers the mid-range player he can improve, plus a director who thinks these mid-range players are now over priced.

But the new stadium makes CL football a must to help pay off the stadium and generate advertising, sponsorship....and our current youth teams are not coughing up anyone first-team ready. Poch does not have the luxury of risking a few results by bringing in youth players to help bring them on.
We have seen of the most talented group come through and then peter out due to a clear lack of plan and progression with their development

How do you expect youth players to be ready if they dont go out on good loans and the manager prefers them to train rather than play?

Kyle walker-peters is very talented as is Onomah who was always played out of position out wide and further forward. Even Foyth has been a waste of a signing imo

Yeah, it will be a classic Spurs thing of having a busy summer, and trying to make a load of signings when we don’t have CL football to offer.

Not advocating change right now....but who would you lot get in to replace Poch?

I cant see much out there. Conte wont want to work with Levy. I wouldnt want Benitez.

Best to stick with Poch and see through this difficult spell?

Talk of getting rid etc is very much premature, if it does get that bad and it isnt yet, Pochettino absolutely deserves the opportunity to turn it around.

My worry is that Poch will walk away next year if any big clubs (except Barca) approach him.

This is all a bit knee jerk. However, players have obviously reached saturation point.

Crazy to even consider getting rid of him at this stage. He’s been fucked over by his chairman. He has consistently been our best PL manager, and our players have played to the later stages of the World Cup.

He needs to reflect, learn and improve on his mistakes. Levy needs to spend some fucking money on players for Poch, not sack another manager and splurge after it’s all gone wrong again.

Funny how on the back of a bad Result, Poch is being made as a scapegoat, he made a bad sub yes, premature talk of getting rid, lets see how he and the Lads bounce back.

It seems a little silly to read into his press conferences, but something definitely stinks; it's not the Poch we're used to. I hope I'm wrong, but I think our problems run far deeper than tactics, fitness, or failing to defend the simplest of corners (though these are all combining to create the perfect shitstorm of issues).

Something is wrong behind the scenes, likely fuelled by this summer. I don't want to sound like a knee-jerk, nor do I want to blame Levy for each defeat (it's not his fault Icardi fired a bullet out of the blue from 20 yards) but something feels off. It reminds me of Conte at Chelsea last season, or Mourinho's last season at Chelsea the 2nd time round.

Three games running we have lost as a result of poor managerial decisions.

Pochettino has been great for this club and enough credit in the bank to rectify this situation and learn from his mistakes.

Those two statements aren’t mutually exclusive, both can be true. Hell, even if we finish seventh he deserves to start next season in charge to turn things around. However, we are entitled to question his current decisions and management just as we are entitled to praise his previous four years of ‘magic’.

It's actually 3 consecutive bad results...

I don't think we should be talking of getting rid of Poch, but I also think that his in-game management and substitutions have been pretty ropey since he took over. He's been great for us, but he's not perfect, and I think it's fair for people to point out the things that he consistently gets wrong just as it's right that people praise him for the things he gets right.

Same old fans blaming the latest Spurs manager once he inevitably ceases producing miracles for a board that consistently screws him over.

It’s an endless cycle that’s been happening since Enic took over.

Even Jenas been having a go at Tottenham recently - not like him.

Football London starting to write Daily Mail-style headlines about him.

Forums have got people writing shit about him.

We're about to lose the best manager we've had in my lifetime.

It's been three games.

The substitution was one thing. I cannot understand how, after getting scored on over and over in crucial moments from set pieces, why we continue to look so weak on set pieces. That's something that needed to be sorted out on the training ground after Watford. Very frustrating that Poch doesn't make this a point of emphasis when it's now conservatively cost us 2 points each in the league and in Europe.
