I still really struggle to see him at Madrid. A place with no time or patience for 'projects', where you're more likely than not to be sacked within the year and you have to cater to egos rather than chuck them out. It just doesn't sound like Poch at all. I wonder if he's feigning interest as a bargaining chip more than anything here because if I was worried about him going anywhere right now it'd be Man Utd.

Another dynasty man like SAF

Horses wear them to focus view forwards and block side and reverse views.

Both "blinker" and "blinder" are also used metaphorically to refer to people with an overly narrow focus or inability to see the larger picture.

Taking them off allows the full view
Got it. I’ve heard blinders used that way, not blinkers though! Appreciate it!

Asked about the stadium/playing away from home:

"When I signed my contract, when we signed our contracts, we expected a tough period but it's tougher than we believed. We are spending more time than we think. Ok, sure someone will benefit from our patience, our job, and to play many games away from home."

Trying not to read too much into it but..."someone" :(

We’re not signing anyone of note in January. It’s practically impossible to sign anyone decent as most are in CL or even if they’re not most clubs are obviously not to keen to let their best players leave mid season.

I guess we could sign pre agreements but I doubt it. Levy is more likely to start his search for our next manager instead if it’s true and their relationship has soured.

It would certainly explain our under par performances, despite a really good points tally.

Personally if Levy has moved the goal posts on Poch there's no getting away from that imo.

He's done extremely well and deserves to have his ambition matched.

Disgusting if he's been fucked over. Poch is clearly a man of principal and if he feels fucked over no wonder he's feeling not so committed to the cause which will transmit to the the pitch.

We should be doing everything in our power to be keeping him here for as long as possible.

What did he say about VJ?

He said that it's not the time to talk about him - when asked from a dutch journo

If Levy fuck things up with Poch, it will set us back years, I would surely lose my faith in getting any silverware anytime soon if Poch (and inevitable a lot of our star players) walks.

Alasdair Gold seems to think if we don't spend money in January, Poch will be off in the summer. Poch seemed to want us to spend in January, either to buy then or to pay then for the players to come in the summer.

I think hes right. He got the summer transfer window spot on in regards to players (Eg. us not being after Zaha) so I think its worth listening to him. Lots wont becasue, like in the summer, they didnt like what he said but it turned out to be true.

If Levy doesnt sort out the squad in January I think we will lose Poch next summer. This is coming from someone who didnt believe we'd lose him to Madrid in the Summer. After reading his book it seems that he needs to be believed in else he feels a lack of loyalty, which is immensly important to him. Levy should beware.

Quite obvious isn't it? If I don't feel you believe in me, why should I believe in you?

Levy has backed himself into a corner. He will need to pay out in Jan if he wants to keep Poch happy and the team moving forward. Only issue is buying quality in Jan is a lot harder and more expensive. If he actually wanted to save money he should have made moves over the summer. I really don't see this ending well, I just don't have any faith when it comes to Levy spending large amounts on quality players. Best I see is more stop gap players. We could very much be in a situation of loosing Toby, Eriksen and Poch next summer.
