of course enic&dl has a choice - neglect the football stuff and sell the club when the stadium is built, leaving the problems to the next owner
The problem ENIC will ask for more money than any club has ever been sold for and there will be no takers. Probably in the region of 2 billion .There are plenty of Billionaires wanting to buy British clubs but not for what ENIC want. Also Levy has said that if the club is sold he will stay on, then we are in the same situation as we are now.

If the club gets sold then he doesn't get to make that choice.

Levy isn't the one with the money, any restrictions in our spending are coming from Lewis.
With a new owner no-one knows how Levy would operate.

Pochettino is the best thing to happen to Spurs in years. All efforts should be made to keep him happy.

That said, I can’t help feel a little bit frustrated that he is putting negative stuff into the media. He's very intelligent and won’t be doing it for no reason, clearly he wants something to change behind the scenes and is trying to apply pressure.

I feel a bit for Levy too, not only is he dealing with all the stadium issues, he now has a manager grumbling in the press.

It’s a strange one, in all Pochettino's time here we don’t seem to have sorted out our player recruitment to his or probably Levy's satisfaction. It’s the one aspect of the Pochettino era that has never really settled or felt under control. Maybe a bit of friction is what’s needed to find the new way forward.

Spot on. i'm really scratching my head on this (i know, watch out for splinters) The timing of it all seems strange. And i know this sounds mental but i was getting concerned when he started wearing the suits on the touchline, it was like something had changed.

Maybe Levy will listen this time. It’s easy to forget just how much he betrayed the trust of the manager in the summer. Who could begrudge Poch a move now after what happened in that window?

It’s last chance saloon if we want to keep him, at best.

Levy wont listen he never has and never will. It's not the first time in the last few seasons when we needed that extra top player to push us to the next level and Levy has done his 11th hour fuck up. He is a law unto himself and doesn't give a shit. Poch summed it up when he said that trophies and titles don't seem that important to the club they are interested in other things.

I've lost a level of love and interest in Spurs this season due to the stadium issues and non-existent transfer window. The disappointment has permeated throughout the whole club, and this interview shows that it has affected the coaching and playing staff too. Can't say I'm surprised. It may be why regardless of our points total the quality of football still hasn't been up to our recent standards (WC hasn't helped there TBF).

We know Poch hates being criticised as if he's competing on equal terms with the rest of the top six. I totally get that and think it's fair.

Levy and ENIC are happy to throw all the money we have into the stadium because it raises the club's value, whereas in the transfer market they are always coming up short/unlucky, with endless excuses. Yes we all benefit from the new home and the income should help us compete, but it's coming because it's mutually beneficial IMHO, ENIC gets a big fat payday when they eventually sell up. Investing huge sums in players doesn't get ENIC anything.

Poch is only echoing the sentiment held by most of our fanbase. I don't think he has this outburst if he didn't still care however. He's not checked out or given up yet but the club need to do something to appease him soon, he won't stay forever. I'm 100% behind him here.

The problem is that they can't do anything until January and by then it will be to late. Anyway I don't think Poch will take any promises from Levy to seriously anymore.

Poor form Pochettino.

Not being funny, but if he’s got a good enough squad to play Manchester City with Winks, Dele, Eriksen and Son all on the bench, then he can’t have that much to complain about.

When I read Poch's quotes last night I immediately thought of this bit on the sunday supplement. That particular journalist must have known the quotes were coming and thats what he was referring to in my opinion. Whether its correct or not is another thing.

I don't agree with Ladyman. I think Poch has stood by and defended Levy at all times especially backing him about no signings. I believe He has finally had enough false promises and decide to speak out in a round about way.

I think we do know how Levy will operate it's in his nature and he would want to impress new owners about his business acumen.

I can't believe Levy is getting blamed for the total omni-shambles which MACE have made of the stadium delivery. If anyone seriously believes Levy has instigated this situation for some weird reason which you've concocted inside your head, you need to get your f**king bonce seeing to.

Jesus people!!!

Nah, we don't know anything about him really.
If the new owners say 'You have x amount to use strengthening the squad'...he'll obviously spend it.
We've only ever known on him operating at the end of Joe Lewis' leash.

He knows the business backwards, I'd be amazed if new owners got shot of him if they had the choice.

Think it’s pretty unprofessional to come out with comments like that before a big game. I completely get why he’s frustrated, just think there’s a time and a place to vent.

On top of that, Spurs seem to be handling all final approvals. That honestly isn't very typical, and I'm certain that has slowed things down. It's very hard to manage a giant project when you don't have total control over decisions.

Geoff Shreeves just tweeted:
Just spoke to @SpursOfficial manager Mauricio P admitted his English isn’t the best and he is very happy at the club, just frustrated on Friday when he spoke to the media.

Looking at that pitch, I can see some fun on the wings. There will be a few ending up on their arses I think they will need stilts instead of studs.
