For as long as Poch continues to work miracles here on a workhouse transfer budget, his name will always come up when the next superclub sacks their manager. For our part, we can't afford to give Poch any excuse to question his future here, and to ask whether the club has the ambition to match the likes of Man Utd.

In other words, get your cheque book out, Scrooge McDuck.

Over the last few years I've been worried about Poch going, but weirdly for this one I'm not. I think Poch loves it here to much, and if did go, it only ever be abroad. But I do think it is now ultimately up to Levy to back him. If he does, he stays.

/he will probably go there now.

Another worrying thing is that there aren't that many decent candidates to replace Pochettino if he decides to leave.

If he did go, I think Eddie Howe would be a good replacement. Actually I think he be worth a shot at UTD, Young, can build a team, his teams play great football, knows the premier league. Only thing against him really is lack of experience with superstars, but utd have a core of young players he can mould.

I don’t think poch will go personally. I think managers are a bit different to players. It’s like when fergy and wenger were getting linked to “bigger” clubs in the early stages of their career but stayed put. I think the same will happen here with poch.

Having said that, to avoid what happened with Harry Redknapp in final season, a statement to confirm he is happy at spurs or a new contract for poch will need to be done urgently to avoid our season from falling apart.

It’s carrick till end of season. Actually perfect for us. Levy has to back him now simple as that. Pochettino holds all the cards.

Carrick is just taking training for 2 days they said, an 'external' appointment will be made for an interim manager to take over until the end of the season.

If he turned down Real Madrid what makes you think he'd want to go to Man Utd?

I don't believe he will leave (just yet) but Utd seems a better fit imo.
Does he wants to do the whole thing over again though? Building a new team and change the culture/infrastructure must be hard and tiring.. Sadly i do think he would love that kind of challenge and that he's a perfect fit for them. Exactly the kind of character you would expect united to have as a manager.

I will add Utd comes with far better job security than Madrid. That added with the spanish media and fickle supporters makes Utd a far more sensible choice imo.

Managers generally get more time at Utd than Real.

Doesn’t mean we’re doomed, but I think it’s perfectly reasonable for Spurs fans to be concerned.

Sorry to say but there has to be a possibility that Utd put a caretaker in till the summer and then go all in for Poch. I also could see him strongly considering it - he will have brought the club into the new stadium and that could be when he might see his job done here, especially if he feels Levy is not backing him with transfers.

I really hope I'm wrong and think that the January window could be very important.
