Anyone who thinks that there is no chance of him going to UTD are being naive. I know he loves us, but end of the day UTD are the biggest club in the world. If he gets the financial backing from the hierarchy he could see this as a massive opportunity and will feel he has taken us as far as he can. If Levy doesn’t make a statement and give Poch what he wants I can see him going, and I couldn’t blame him. Sorry but I do feel a bit sick because UTD are obviously waiting until the end of the season before they try and poach him.

Agree....why would he stay at a club with 0 transfer funds and 0 ambition to win anything.

United see their rightful place as being at footballs top table.

We do not.

Sorry, but for a Spanish speaker Utd are not the biggest club in the world. Poch has already turned them down. (and is not interested in the other)

Foolish imo to think he wont. He wont jump ship mid season but he may well be tempted next summer

Remember he wasnt backed in the summer.

You're right and in fact I was properly in the camp of 'Poch will be leaving in the summer' after looking at the way he was back in September/October. He was incredibly irritable in press conferences and made a few comments that sounded really ominous.

However, since then he's rejected Real Madrid on two occasions and his comments give off a much greater sense of pemanence, that he wants to stay here and win things with us.

I have no idea what changed within him. It may be that he's more confident given the run we've been on, but maybe he's had a frank discussion with Daniel Levy. I mean, it has to be the first time in an absolute age that @JJetset has come out so early and said he expects signings to be made, along with other really positive vibes. It just feels like they've sorted out whatever the issue was.

Looking at the market, Steve Bruce and Big Fat Sam as caretakers are (for me) the standouts 50/1 and 80/1.

Got to be worth a punt, especially Steve Bruce.

As much as I would want Poch to stay you have to look at possible replacements .
We chose Poch because of the job he was doing at Southhampton; well for me the manager that fits the same profile is Wagner .
Huddersfield in the premiership is a minor miracle and how he has made them play with second rate players and little or nothing to spend is remarkable . He with a club like ours could be the one if Poch does jump ship.

Poch is tied to this club in more ways than one. It’s not as simple as him just up and leaving.

His son plays for the academy ffs. His family love London. His entire coaching staff and their families live in London. The new stadium coming. Everything about Spurs at this moment in time is in Pochettino’s image.

No no no...Not that I think Poch is going to go, however replacement wise Eddie Howe for me. But this is a non starter anyway as Poch is going nowhere

Well, on the plus side, I would say this increases the chance of Poch being backed in January several times over!

I think he stays. He genuinely seems to love it here, is one of the best paid managers in the game, is adored by the fans and has done the hardwork in getting us (almost) through the period to the new stadium.

People say that united offer job security, they don’t. Since fergie left they’re approach has been similar to Chelsea and managers are very disposable. That won’t appeal to Poch.

I completely agree with this. They will also give more time then the likes of RM would and they would be in to the idea of him developing a dynasty. Im also sure Alex Ferguson would back the appointment as he and Poch seem to be friends. Personally I think there is a very big chance he will leave this summer when Utd offer him everything he wants. I also doubt that Levy will back Poch enough to convince him to turn down such an offer. Ultimately Poch wants to win the PL and if Levy doesn't give him the tools to be able to do it he will go somewhere that will. I know he seems a loyal person, but he's also a professional who wants to win.

All this yammering about him being backed at Utd. Ah yes backed with Ed Woodward in firm control of the purse strings. The same bloke that has been criticized by Mourinho and Van Gaal and the fans have blamed for 4 years of screwed up transfer dealings. For all of Levy's failings it's clear as day that they have a good relationship in and out of football and that Pochettino's influence at the club extends WAY beyond who is signed (see the talk of him being consulted over the stadium amendments).

Get the feeling I've just posted the most pointless thing I'll ever do here because he could sign a new deal today, do a press conference where he wipes his arse with a Utd shirt and some of you will still be saying "he's gone in the summer"

Have you seen that stadium ?

Best in the league by a mile - Old Trafford is a shit tip by comparison.

Zero ambition is crap - it has to go through stages by first building revenues through capital projects.

And? Don't other manager is and their teams live around the team they work for?
And as for his son, he's Yoof so can leave when he wants

On what basis can you say Utd are the biggest club in the world. Most twitter followers?
