I can't see why he'd want the Utd job tbh. He's got a terrific project going here and is about to move into one of the best stadia in world football. We're very likely to qualify for CL next year, have some great players, and the future is altogether rosy. If he goes to man utd it will be to Europa League at best, and general loathing and uncertainty. My feeling is he'll want to stick it out until we win something, then move on to his dream job- Real Madrid. It's the only route that makes sense.

Surely Poch will have to make a statement soon enough?

Very easy to put this speculation to bed in a literally a sentence or two.

Or keep it vague enough in press conferences out of respect for both parties as he doesn’t want to publicly admit he wants one of the biggest jobs in football but also doesn’t want to harm his chances by denying it

We’ve seen this play out so many times with our best players

He has come out and said his focus is on us. Thats all he needs to say right now.

Nothing is going to happen until end of the season, if utd still want poch by then

Look at the press conference he has already laughed it off. He doesn’t need to make statements, same as when he was linked with Real. He is focussed on us as a club, speculations is just that

It’s also a project that he is very close to reaping the rewards and benefits of all his hard work since he joined.

Utd need rebuilding, which is something I believe Fergie realised when he retired. It would be a strange decision for Poch to throw away all his and his coaching staffs hard work when it is so close to paying off to start a new rebuilding project at Utd.

I don't understand why you think Man Utd would be "too big an opportunity" for Poch to turn down buddy? Man Utd are falling behind us in every way! Their Stadium looks old and run-down in comparison to our new stadium, they have finished above us once since Ferguson retired and we just finished above them financially. We are a club on the way up and Man Utd are on their way down. We get angry about our players not having any loyalty to the club because they think Spurs are not a big enough club! How can we expect that to change if our own fans think we should just roll over because its Man Utd? Keep the faith because Poch is going nowhere! #COYS
An optimistic but great post reminiscent of a Braveheart battlecry! Not sure I believe it like you, but you make some excellent points.

Lots of people in denial in this thread. Attacking journos who are reporting the obvious, claiming they have an agenda against us blah blah blah.

The cold hard reality is if they want him, it’s going to be really hard for us to keep him.

Sadly I agree, and last summer may not have helped.

I disagree tbh. I think a few years ago you would be right, but now Man Utd are not the club they were. The arrogance of the press and Man Utd fans that they can just wink in our direction and get what they want astounds me. Spurs are very close to being the finished article, there will come a day when Poch is done here, but it wont be now and I dont think it will be to The Mancs in Red.

Whatever happens with Poch this has the potential to completely derail our season. Not sure what the club can do about it though. Poch has never come out and outright denied stuff and I don't see him doing that now.

I wish I could agree with you, but the truth is they can blow us away in every way that matters. Their form on the pitch is a temporary thing. Ok, so their squad needs some work, but I’m pretty sure Poch could get a tune out of the likes of Pogba, Mata, Rashford, Sanchez and Martial.

The only one bit of hope I have is that Poch is an honourable man, he may not want to leave things unfinished here.

I think a lot of the players who have signed long term deals will be pretty pissed off if he jumps ship now/in the summer! I also can’t see Eriksen signing with uncertainty over Poch
